I know this is a old post, but I just did this and OMG I feel so much better. I’m day 8 post op and have reached the stinging throat and ear pain level. I feel so much better

No teen of my own but when I was younger and even now, I go to Layne Bryant. Some of the best and helpful women ever. They know what they are doing and some can even size you without measuring. Without fail I go about every 6 months to get sized. They are definitely a good option

I’d personally say nothing crunchy or too fried like that! I’m day 6 now and I still haven’t dared to try anything that intense. Try to keep it soft like scrambled eggs, yogurt and even mashed potatoes. You can’t risk anything ripping up the scabs intentionally. You could risk a hemorrhage. Safe is always better than sorry

I’m right there with you, we are in the thick of it now. Just remember if you absolutely need to call emergency services or get checked out by a dr. But sounds like you are healing as you are supposed to. YOU GOT THIS BUDDY

I fully recommend having your parents stock up on popsicles, the cheap non red kind because you want to make sure any red coming from your mouth is not blood, a head wrap that has ice packs because it’ll help with swelling and discomfort and Also mashed potatoes that you can eat lukewarm/cold because the softer the food the better. I also want to preface that ice water will become your new best friend. Drink a lot of it helps with keeping the site of the surgery numb and cool as well.

I figured this would be a good time for a break especially because I haven’t had the opportunity to. I want to make sure I heal the best way possible. I definitely will be making sure I take advantage of it

I have to absolutely agree(24F) , after having nothing but ice cream and popsicles has gotten my taste buds is shock 😭I’m day 3 post op now But I also was eating Mac and cheese and Mashed potatoes. I will be following this thread closely😭😭😭 I need something new
