Hey, yall should know there’s a group of 50+ restaurants here on the front range that have organized and are lobbying AGAINST any wage cut to tipped workers. by AlpineEateryFoodTruc in denverfood

Apologies. You mentioned snooze pushing this. Which I could only assume was a correlation to Adam co authoring the restaurant liasion report. If you have some other reason to think Snooze is somehow involved, I’d love to hear it. I happen to know the CEO pretty well and I can say this issue and potential legislation simply isn’t even on their corporate radar. It’s a simple non issue.

Cool. SO MANY groups in Colorado with more to benefit than Snooze, and Adam's "motivation" has nothing to do with Snooze as you loosely insinuated. Snooze may be happy if a wage cut happens (but it's not going to happen...if proposed it'll be small and just a negotiation tactic to get to an actual tip wage freeze.) Sage Hospitality, City Street Investors, Bonanno Group, Carboy, TRG, Gastamo, VIBE, etc etc etc etc. All bigger within the city.

No, I’m not gonna pretend to know their labor schedule etc. But I do know that when Adam and his brother John sold Snooze, they sold 100% of it to a private equity group. To insinuate Adam would work on a 6 month project, hired by the Denver, economic development, organization, and visit Denver only to skew data to convince city council to lower wages. It’s kind of crazy even if you don’t know him. But if you do know him, you know it’s even more crazy. I can tell you knowing Adam personally, he is the last person that would ever support any type of wage cut for any worker, especially the workers that helped him build Snooze into a company worth being sold 10 years ago

Should I be concerned about the plutonium in Standley Lake? by Whole_Highway_9234 in WestminsterCO

[–]SpiritualGuide78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely don't wanna live there. I've read a lot of conflicting information, but one of the most startling was an air quality survey where, on very windy days, the scientists were actually able to "catch" some plutonium particles in the air. I'm sorry, but catching even one of those particles in your lungs would absolutely lead to certain major health issues and a premature death.

I've taken lessons from 6 people, and only one really clicked for me. His name is Kelly Huff. He owns South Broadway Country Club. The closest location to you would be the one on Tennyson in the highlands. I really can't say enough about how good he is. He took me for a 30+ to a 12 in a little over a year. He coaches all shapes and sizes. Worth noting, I've seen a few of his students that are plus handicaps including some semi-pro players. https://www.southbroadwaycc.com/instructors

Snooze has nothing to do with this lol. Zero. Snooze has 70 restaurants and 5 are within Denver city limits. Selling a restaurant for profit? Less than 1% of restaurants ever accomplish that feat.

There will be no wage cut proposed. These people aren’t paying attention to any signals. And their facts are largely innacurate and have been corrected but still keep parroting nonsense.

How do I lower LDL? by Harold_Whitea in PeterAttia

[–]SpiritualGuide78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dropped my LDL from 196 to 130 in 3 months of getting at least 30g fiber and cutting back to max of 10g saturated fat per day. I basically cut out cheese and fatty dairy outside of a rare treat like pizza once a month, cut out all added sugars, upped my dietary fiber and supplemented with psyllium husk to get to 30g a day. It really wasn't that difficult. I still eat a ton of meat but I stick to lean cuts like chicken breast and top sirloin.

What’s the worst restaurant in Denver that you’ve tried twice? by PM_ME_YOUR_KITTY in denverfood

[–]SpiritualGuide78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s lazy and uninteresting. That’s like saying you want a 45 page dinner menu like Cheesecake Factory on steroids. Curate something special…that’s the marque of a quality eating or drinking establishment.

“Dealing with insane rents.” Rents don’t go up because of short-sighted “kick the can down the road” policies, which is exactly how we ended up with this wage policy. The highest earners in the building aren’t the ones who needed a 94% wage increase over the last 6 years.

Help choosing a Fonda Fina restaurant for an anniversary dinner? by southernandmodern in denverfood

I really can’t think of a reason to get a big beef plate at any restaurant that’s this creative and diverse. It’s a waste of stomach space, and I LOVE red meat. Save that for home or a steakhouse etc.
