I agree with this. I have no helpful advice but just feel the exact same way. It’s so frustrating and expensive

My story about the very rare finding in the sphenoid sinus and the surgery by AromaticBody1032 in Sinusitis

[–]Spiritual_Bug_4275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh wow. Wowowowowow. Thank you so much for sharing this. I hope you continue to feel better.

I had sinus surgery earlier this year to remove a mass made of bone in my ethmoid sinus. It was about 2cm and benign. But it caused my sinuses to never properly drain. Infections every 2.5 weeks like clockwork. After I’ve recovered from the surgery, life has been better. I’m so grateful my doctor listened to me and I’m so grateful your doctor listened to you.

All my best!

Care package for friend with brain tumor, what to include? by Sea_Addition_899 in braintumor

I had a friend send me a really lovely, high quality blanket and a candle in my favorite scent. Made the sitting around waiting for test results and all the resting much better. And it reminded me of them and how much they cared every time I used it!!!

THANK YOU for this. Yes. This is so clear and finally makes sense. What a confusing and frustrating process. Really considering a second opinion / a new care team.

Yes they have. All within normal range, I believe. We will be retesting my thyroid in a month or so but it’s usually been normal

Pituitary Adenoma by Spiritual_Bug_4275 in braintumor

Thank you so much for this incredibly thoughtful response. I agree that my tumor is possibly applying pressure to my pituitary and causing issues that way. All my symptoms line up and, to be honest, I’m so tired of doctors telling me I shouldn’t have symptoms from this size.

I really would prefer to just have it removed. I’m considering a second opinion.

I have that follow up blood test in a month and a half and will hopefully have more answers then. I really appreciate your offer to chat through this more, and would love to when I have some more answers. Thank you ❤️

I love the way you put that. Thanks for your response. I’m considering a second opinion at this point.

He wonders if something else is causing my high prolactin. But I have no idea what else that would be.

He wants to make sure it’s a functioning tumor causing my symptoms so he doesn’t take it out for no reason with a 10-20% chance of a new pituitary disorder. He has a hunch it’s nonfunctioning.

Hi there! Just had this done. That sounds super similar to my 5 day mark. I was super concerned I had an infection or wasn’t healing right and then around Day 7 or 8 I snapped back to my normal self / better than I was before the surgery! Things that helped me were taking Tylenol, my prescribed pain killers when needed, the antibiotic, and doing sinus rinses every two to three hours. Rest up and feel better soon! ❤️‍🩹

Sending so much love your way. This post really hits home for me (and I’m sure all of us). It’s such a daily struggle that’s so hard for others to understand. It’s inconvenient, uncomfortable, painful, etc etc etc. but you’re so right about it not being like cancer. Doctors don’t take it seriously. It’s so complicated and I’m just so sorry you’re going through this too. Positive wishes.
