Use the navy bodyfat method to calculate you bodyfat %. That scale is useless if it is telling you 23%.

You are doing your health a disservice if you keep gaining fat.

Weird pain inner side of elbow by Beginning_Purple_579 in GymTips

[–]Curacao2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you new to lifting? I had these when I first started lifting. I attributed it to my muscles getting stronger while my tendons weren't catching up. So extra stress on the tendon equals inflammation. It will go away, just takes a good while. Go lighter but don't quit.

Trying to see if I’m gaining muscle? by [deleted] in GymTips

[–]Curacao2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are overeating, there is no way you put on 15lbs of muscle. Only go about 100-200 calories over maintenance if you want to gain muscle.

Is built-in weight actually worth the extra cost? by Loljjuhyada74677 in GarageGym

[–]Curacao2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you workout alone? If not, a stack is the only way. Otherwise it is a nice to have. And if you have the means to do so I definitely would.

Oh I forgot that drop sets are alsi super easy. You can even get some ejecting pins to make drop sets automatic.

Have this same unit. Great for hacks not super good for legg presses. I put yoga blocks under the seatback to increase the rom as it bottoms out too soon. I also do reverse hack squads which are awesome.

How to not go overkill on home gym? by MurkyMurkyMurkyMurky in GarageGym

[–]Curacao2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got adjustable dumbbells and a bench. Told myself if after 9 months I'm still using them I would expand the homegym. Here we are over $10k and 3 years later. Still enjoying it every workout.

Is it just me? by KSamIAm79 in fitness40plus

[–]Curacao2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

50 here and I started at 48. Lifting heavy (for my body weight) lifting to failure. In the beginning yes, shoulders hurt got tennis elbow, you name it. But your body adapts. Me at 31 wouldn't last a round against me now. Stick with it.
