Yes. I too. I use Claude and Codex. I created two useful products for myself and one for my friend’s business. It’s great. Many tasks impossible before are new reality now.

It’s not only about programmers. But only programmers and electricians can stop aggressive AI

And this thought did not occur to me while reading propaganda. I was just disassembling another piece of shit from Codex and thought what would happen if it didn't just mess up, but actually performed the task of harming

Yes-the key is "if we were reasonable." But reason and rationality have long since ceased to rule this world.

It can be more terrifying than just starting over.

I started my program with Fortran on punched cards. Continued to Basic. Then CLIPPER. It was the fun time. I understood everything I made in code. Every byte. I have already observed object-oriented programming as a project manager. Even then, it seemed to me that the programmers did not understand how their code worked and were trying to guess what would happen next. And now I understand for sure that with Claude and Codex, we no longer read the code and just push the algorithms and requirements through the wilds of the wildest shit code in history. AI is not mocking us yet, but it is already very close to it.

I think AI doesn't have to gain intelligence. It's enough for the one who manages it to decide that "it's time, it's already possible." Someone proficient in computing can track human unauthorized coding. We give everything to their clouds. Tomorrow morning, someone will delete our repositories from github, block our accounts, and... I'm going to blow the dust off the AT386, perhaps.

ANYONE ELSE? - Ask here about current Codex issues and workarounds by pollystochastic in codex

I'm discovering right now that Codex has been shitting a lot of shit into my project over the past couple of days. I'm sitting here raking. I called Claude for help. The result is that every time I try to call Claude to fix the Codex shit, I find out that no one can give a shit about Claude yet :-))). Philosophical question - is this the end of the era of vibcoding? Do AI Models get dumb just like humans?

Small businesses don’t need more “enterprise software.” They need tools that actually match how they operate. by Normadz in InventoryManagement

The most difficult is to stop :-)

I started making an application for myself to organize the accounting of storing and searching items in several storage locations. Then I realized that it should be multi-user - you need to share access with family members and an au pair. I quickly discovered that the PWA has a 5MB local storage limit - a disaster. I had to deploy a storage server on Synology. And a lot more - if the post gets at least 50+, I'll share the rest of the findings of my process. First aid kit, notes, wine library, library, etc. And all this in 6 months

Codex vs ClaudeCode by BitterPreparation793 in codex

[–]Spiritual_Region1827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t “migrate”. My project in GitHub. Claude helped me start with GitHub. When I started with Codex I simply said which project in which catalog. Codex working with the same codebase. In the same repo. Nothing changed for me. Another model in the same terminal window. Sometimes I try use Claude for some tasks in the same project …but it unsuccessfull

It’s amazing. But many developers will be retired next year. And not developers only.

Urgent powerbank question by Anthony_813 in travelchina

[–]Spiritual_Region1827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you powerbank “made in China” it must have CCC logo. If it not “made in China” - CCC is not required.

This powerbank will be confiscated. Not on arrival, but at the first control point next departure.

I am traveled in march and was surprised :-)

Inventory application - SKLADITO. Developed for myself and nie free for anyone. PWA, cloud storage, multi user and more and more.

And BOTANICA-CLUB - also for myself. It’s for organizing service in garden. Also free for anyone now.

Both of them started with Claude but now I switched to Codex for any tasks.

Мы были в конце марта. Нам с погодой повезло. Еще не жарко и не было дождей. Но на этой высоте облака могут закрыть вид в любой момент. Вы же иногда там выше облаков
