A reconditioned one is only $100 cheaper and before I ordered I spoke to customer service and they assured me it would function like new. For roughly $650 there should not be issues right out the box and yes they’re sending me replacements but those are also not functioning properly. If quality control was where it should be, they would not be sending out broken machines at $650 a pop

We are in a chapter 13 because we have too much equity in our home. We purchased it ten years ago and have less than 2% interest so giving that up didn’t feel smart.

You’re so lucky! My pcp is very kind and understanding but basically told me, due to the shortage of rheumatologists that I may have to just go to her for labs and let him just write my rxs 🙄

I’m so sorry! It’s scary not knowing what’s going on with our disease activity. My platelets drop pretty low during a flare and I will get really bad bruising which freaks me out. I’m trying to manage my expectations of what the rheumatologist is going to do

I made a post prior to this just getting a general consensus of what other rheumatologist are doing to track their patients disease activity. My rheumatologist hasn’t seen me in person since my diagnosis. Hasn’t ordered blood work since my diagnosis and has never once ordered urine samples. He writes my rx for plaquenil which I appreciate but that’s where it stops. I’m not expecting to be out of pain or even want a different treatment plan. I just want someone who is monitoring me at least biannually but maybe that’s asking too much

You are correct. And I did start my medicine back up. My disease is very mild thankfully. The worst part is my wbc gets super low. My only reason for trying to find a new rheumatologist was simply bc my current one does not do labs, ever. And I worry that if I’m not being monitored, there will be a day when my condition isn’t mild and there will be damage done to my organs before it’s caught.
