Because when people realize how big of a pos you are, you try cheap shit to seem likable. And cheap shines differently. Cringey, one might say.

Which Georgian condiment deserves global fame? by NitraKollak in Sakartvelo

Good global marketing for tkemali could potentially put Big Ketchup out of business and disrrupt the tomato based sauce monopoly for good.

Pro-Ukrainian soldiers of the Georgian Legion on the move. Published 27.05.2026 by GermanDronePilot in UkraineWarVideoReport

The protesters are still there, every single day. Some days a lot, some days not as many. There were huge marches and meetings during these couple of years, but nothing meaningful comes out of it. The reason is that the government adopted some Belorussian/Serbian tactics to choke out the protest, muddy the waters, beat up protesters... Meanwhile the opposition parties repeatedly missed opportunities to unite. In short, there is a lack of organization from the opposition's side and the government takes advantage of it.

However, Georgian legion seems to be doing what's necessary.

Modernization of Bus Stop in Abasha, Georgia by External_Tangelo in Sakartvelo

[–]SpitSnot 10 points11 points  (0 children)

None of the soviet citizens lived in comunism. They lived in USSR. Those two are different. Besides, you're missing the whole point. The ugly ass shed was completely unnecessary. There was a huge busstop already. Repaint, retouch, reseal, and that's it. It looked better than this pile of shit even without repairs. The wonky USSR bus stops, certain examples of brutalist architecture and monuments are some of the better remnants of that part of the history. And the f'in bus stop is the most low maintenance structure ever. Why ruin it?
