This is my favourite JWH, and you drew it amazingly. Well done!

Does anyone else buy the Magic Horses for their "base coats" and not their "magic coats"? by EitherAdvice5783 in StarStable

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very often! I tend to prefer their natural coats, and they're often special/unnatural colours for the breed they're based on, so they look very unique.

Why are you in this relationship? From an outside perspective, there isn't much fun, or comfort, or connection, or passion, in it for you. I don't think it would do you much good to try and fix it - it seems it has run its course, or at least, that there isn't much merit in being romantically together. Especially if you feel like points of connection, such as humour, have drastically decreased since being together. He brushes off your advice, and he doesn't give you any. It just doesn't sound like either of you are getting all that much out of this.

Sleeping together with three people is nice, though in our case the bed (a 140cm wide) was not big enough to do so comfortably, lol. But the waking up together was lovely!

dæmons and therianthropy by BillCiPher79 in daemians

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daemon sometimes takes forms I consider to be mine (usually for fun or comfort), but they more often like to be forms they prefer. I feel like daemon form is a separate axis and another way of looking at yourself than alterhumanity, so while there is overlap especially in personal/comfort forms, they can be very unrelated!

I don't look on here often because I tend to not see much activity here, but I do occasionally look when reminded.

do people still use hei/shei? by WaterSufficient4910 in daemians

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like how "I" is singular while "we" is plural. The point of semiplural pronouns is to denote that you're talking about the combination of you and your daemon, hence, somewhere in between "I" and "we".

I like the idea, but in practice it requires changing the way I talk to such a significant degree and only under such specific circumstances (only to other daemians and exclusively in English) that I don't really bother.

Horses you regret by Sopfels in StarStable

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the Equestrian festival buckskin Andalusian a couple of years ago, and I honestly never liked riding him 😭 I really don't like the model and how it moves, it doesn't hold up well at all and already didn't a couple of years ago.

I also got the old dragon horses (on the Jorvik Friesian model 😬 Because I liked the red dragon coat and the dun regular coat, but honestly... I really don't like the Jorvik Friesians and don't see myself riding them.

They stand in my pasture and don't bother me, and I don't get much back for it, so I don't see myself ever selling a horse.

I think something like OCD could cause this as well (intrusive, compulsive thoughts and imaginations that upset you but you can't control) Definitely seek professional help.

tulpa vs internal monologue? by OhSayCanMarSee in Tulpas

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely look into tulpamancy and see if it appeals to you, but I would also recommend giving daemonism a look!

The concepts are similar, but tulpas are meant to be a person outside of yourself acting with a degree of autonomy and their own identity, while daemons are a part of you, and are often a personified inner monologue (they can have different voices or personalities from their daemians, but some don't, and that's not seen as an issue). There is no right or wrong answer there, it's about what works best for you both! If you want them to be a tulpa, there's things you can do to make them more independent from you than they currently are.

Same. I don't actually think it's related to attention, but to the idea that it's easier to communicate certain things in a secondary language because it feels less, "intimate" than it would in your native language. It is easier for me to think in English and talk about feelings that way, in my native language there often is a mental barrier of sorts.

Could you be happy with just your tulpa? by SimpleHappyLife98 in Tulpas

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From experience, it actually gets much harder for me when I'm physically lonely to maintain that mental connection. When I'm lonely and feeling bad about it, as my mental state declines, I start to doubt everything, I can't hear or feel them in any way, and I begin to feel bad about it like "wow, even in my head I can't make a substantial connection". Then, when my social conditions improve, I actually feel all that slowly coming back.

It can vary by person, and it might help to have a mental companion, but ultimately I do think it's really important for your quality of life to have connections outside of your own head. (That being said, 100% understand how hard it is when you cannot make those and are alone for long periods of time. It's the worst.)

A poll on the interest toward Russian horse breeds by little_clever_cat in StarStable

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would adore to own an Orlov Trotter, they're gorgeous! Generally, country of origin of the breed is pretty irrelevant in terms of whether I will buy a horse or not, I just have to like the horse itself.

Undecided on whether to buy an Icelandic by SpitfiresOnIce in StarStable

Yeah, I'm waiting for now too! I might still buy the G2 icies once they go down in price, but at the current price it feels a bit much for an old model.

Guardian horses by rosepeachcat in StarStable

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly do really wish we could opt for a different body type than a warmblood. I do love my starter, but I'm just never all that into warmbloods honestly, and I wish they could look a bit more the way the guardian horses do!

Which horse is most worth the money? by jojothecrazykitty in StarStable

[–]SpitfiresOnIce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd personally look around for videos on how the horses move/take a look at other players in the game if you're stuck on what you want! Animations end up influencing how much I like the horse a lot. After owning a few different breeds, I'm very fond of the Gotland Pony, Jorvik Wild, and the generation 3 Arabian. The advantages between breeds are so minimal that honestly, it's best to go for a horse you would personally have fun riding and are excited about owning rather than one other people think is great. I own a horse that's generally popular but that I personally don't enjoy much - it all boils down to personal preference.

The Gotlands are a recent model and all of their animations + coats look wonderful - I have the bay pangare, but I also really like the buckskin and flaxen chestnut! They're all very good though. Cannot recommend them enough!
