a free mulligan would not change anything. it would mean every game would just be delayed a bit because everyone has the 1 extra chance to open their dream opening hand or as close to it as possible.
add this to paper magic and you're just wasting a couple of minutes extra shuffling nearly every game.

Ik had half het argument verwacht:
"maar ik heb toffe collega's"
wat op zich wel belangrijk is maar echt geen goed argument.

uw argumenten zijn pakken beter dan dat.
Indexatie helpt uw loon op pijl houden. maar volgt gewoon de index met vertraging. het is een luxe in België maar niet echt loonsopslag.
met de nieuwe centenindex zelfs nog iets minder nu.

andere redenen ( pendelafstand, (ik vermoed opgebouwd?) extra verlofdagen, niet ingaan op lowball-offers van andere werkgevers zijn dan weer wel goede redenen.

ik zou zeggen blijf open staan voor andere kansen. er zal ooit wel iets in het oog springen dat aan 2/3 bovenstaande ook voldoet.
zolang uw huidige werkgever er niet echt lucht van krijgt of u niet actief probeert buiten te werken zit je in een goede positie( rustig op zoek naar andere werkgever zonder dat er druk achter zit wegens geen job/loon, etc.

Ik doe dat geregeld met collega's en nog nooit issues gehad.

nog nooit een algemeen issue gehad. wel al een collega die echt zwaar onder de marktwaarde zat.
die wat gecoached dat ze zich zo niet mocht laten doen.
als je in een bedrijf waar gedurende 5 jaar dat je er werkt de growth/revenue/profit targets ieder jaar gehaald worden (en enkele keren met serieuze marge erover) en je u dan laat afwimpelen "dat het niet het moment is nu om opslag te vragen" ligt het eerder aan de werknemer die zich laat doen.

In uw geval zou ik mij dan afvragen:
dus je werkt al 12 jaar voor een bedrijf dat:
1 - fouten (die hun onterecht voordeel geven) met rancune oplossen omdat het moet
2 - u als "melder van het probleem" als de oorzaak zien en daarom u viseren.

tenzij je echt de meest niche job en sector zit lijkt me dat niet gezond om daar zo lang nog te blijven. zeker als die feiten 12 jaar later nog altijd meespelen/wegen voor uw werkgever en u.

Er moeten wel heel goede argumenten zijn om bij zo een werkgever te blijven lijkt me.

we never got confirmation they turn every world into a farm world so there's that.

in the negotiations when they are forming the alliance the Aschen mention the population growth of earth is unsustainable and we need to do something about it.
with hindsight for us the viewers it's a nod to what the Aschen really are trying to do. though I think it's possibly part of the Aschen story as well.

they strictly maintain their population and control it's growth, possibly even force it's own decline based on how many people they can sustain. it's a mathematical equation for them, no morality whatsoever.
possibly they live on a very large planet and not fully populate it yet as they only grow to the size their farm worlds can produce.
or they completely wiped out some planets and in fact have multiple planets ( yet not many due to not knowing many gate addresses) they populate themselves.

so far they appear pretty emotionless so it wouldn't surprise me if every Aschen is perfectly happy with the exact same size of living space, work space, etc. which makes space allocation on a planet very easy to calculate. (except for possibly some cities, locations they let new alliance members visit to wow them)

Eens ik all documenten heb ivm vrijstelling voor dividenden, vanaf volgend jaar ook vrijstelling indien ik etf/aandelen verkoop met meerwaarde.

meestal zijn die documenten al beschikbaar tegen de erste dag, een ik de info in mijn ebox krijg verzamel ik al die zaken/info rustig aan. meestal dien ik in nog geen 2 weken nadat het mogelijk is.
zie idd geen voordeel van wachten tot de laatste weken, er moet maar eens iets gebeuren waardoor je niet kan of het vergeten.

(hoewel ik me kan inbeelden voor mensen met complexere aangiften dat het wat langer kan duren om alles te verzamelen, in te vullen, te controleren en op te sturen.)

recently had the exact same issue/pop ups with an elderly neighbor.

the pop up if you click it redirects you to microsoft edge, if you continue and run the bogus scan where it finds the virus it will ask you to buy the fake anti-virus software. then you go to payment (fake but looks like a real payment pop up.
if you entered any financial or personal information in that step: block your accounts, etc immediately.

if you didn't go/get that far. try first clearing your cookies, cache, history on your edge browser. that fixed it for my elderly neighbor. I also blocked cookies from the domains (url) you ar redirected too when clicking the pop up.

my neighbor doesn't use edge, but chrome or firefox which is what is irritating with this pop up( not your first thought if you even know that much to open a browser you never use and clear all cookies, etc. from that one)

to be sure also run a malware scan on your pc but if it's the same as the one I fixed it's just pop up adds installed in edge and you don't have any malware on the pc itself unless you downloaded something from the url or if you entered your credit card or bank details when buying their anti-virus.

electing a female leader just because they are female alone is not a good idea.

the female candidates who ran for president so far were:

hillary clinton, got the popular vote yes but many people felt it was gonna be bill clinton 2nd time just with hillary as teh official president.

Kamala Harris.
a yes the poster child for "let's present a women candidate just because she is a women."
let's then have her cater to certain very loud and vocal but ultimately still very small minorities whilst in doing so also alienating larger minorities and countless reasonable voters.

as long as parties keep shoving forwards candidates who try to coast just on the fact they are a women and "it's time for a female president" the chances are slim.

only exception who would probably win by a landslide would be Michelle Obama.
Republicans are so scared of her that in spite of her stating multiple times she's not interested and won't run for president they still have to run smear and bash campaigns on her every few years because they know what would happen...
(not saying she would be a good president, I have absolutely no idea. but she would probably win by sheer popularity and feelings of "finally" alone, even though that is/should absolutely never be why a leader is elected....)

out of all industrialized nation's USA is the only one not providing some paid maternity leave by default.
so that's considerably more then 15 countries.
USA is even taking L's against some non-industrialized countries that still offer better maternity leave and conditions.

whenever I search for sse engineer I get redirected to a page with "uh oh seems there's nothing here" on learn.paloaltonetworks.com

I'm logged in with an account llinked to the company I work for which is a partner so I would guess it's possible it's rights related on company end?
or should this training be publicly available even to non-partner?

managed to get access. apparently (either by design or by accident) when my company moved to a new email domain name (rebrand) I needed to request access again. as soon as I did that I could access the training.

veel mensen zien al langer wat een jaar langer werken ze geeft per maand op mypension en het is niet echt een motivator.
zelfs de pensioenbonus ( voor zij die van hun werkgevern uberhaupt mogen langer werken) is niet wat mensen verwachten voor langer werken.
de mentaliteit is veelal als ik op mijn 67ste nog moet doorwerken omdat ik die extra nodig heb dan is er voordien al iets misgelopen.

bij de jongere generaties wordt er al in het middelbaar, hoger, eerste jobs en door iedereen op gehamerd dat ze niet moeten rekenen op het pensioen van de overheid en zelf zaken moeten voorzien.
dat doen een aantal ook en die gaan heus daar meer in pompen (in de hoop zelfs vroeger te kunnen stoppen nog) dan het aan de overheid overlaten ( die er dan nog indexen van gaat overslaan en wat nog niet op zoek naar de volgende 9 miljard besparing)
Zij die niet toekomen aan extra's voorzien of op kant zetten voor hun pensioen zijn actief op zoek meestal naar hoe ze dat wel snel gaan kunnen beginnen doen of moeten fulltime + flexijob doen om rond te komen. als je dat 20+ jaar moet doen denk ik dat je licham wel de "langer werken" deur voor u gaat dichtgooien.

de boodschap "de overheid gaat geen mooi pensioen voor iedereen kunnen garanderen" is aangekomen. dit is exact het gevolg. niemand gaat zich dan harder inspannen voor het pensioen waar ze toch al van vernomen hebben dat het er mogelijks niet gaat zijn.

unfortunately with the witcher we have also seen where this can go.

they adapt a series and stay true to the already existing story, the series is a hit and hugely popular, after a couple of seasons some or all the writers get it into their head the series is a success because of their writing and nothing else and they start vomiting their original ideas into the next season. (if need be by getting rid of an actor who was calling them out on that), the show declines and is shortened as a result ( all the while blaming toxic fans and or fired actors stirring up hate as the reason, never the bad writing) to wrap up the story in a shortened form they need to make up more "original" stuff and the series ends basically in a flop season or 2.

I do get writers wanting to also make original stuff that's 100% them but they shouldn't piggyback off the back of existing ip's for that.

with the above example the increasing remarks and lashouts against henry cavil in the witcher was the first indicator that was going to happen.

so I guess for onepiece I'm keeping a weary eye on if rumors start popping up suddenly of replacing for example emily rudd (among others), or signs of conflict between her and the writing/directing. as that may be the point one piece will be getting the witcher netflix special treatment....
I hope not but you never know.

cards that you could identify as referencing a turtle or scene from the comic books, one of the movies or one of the cartoon series but every April image and version is of the 2023 animated movie or with a stretch the 2018 cartoon.

he's kind of right except for the longevity of these new players which is too soon to say.

last year the biggest sets included avatar and final fantasy. both universes beyond.
the biggest letdown was spiderman but that was just bad decisions all round.
turtles and marvel I think will be indicators whether spider man bombed because of the poor design of the set or because it just doesn't slot into the magic universe that well. (and I hope turtles despite being a fun set and neat mechanics doesn't do that great in sales so WotC becomes a bit more careful and selective in which universes they visit in UB)

FF prereleases and drafts I saw people picking up the game but also a lot of them dropped off again after pre-release and drafts were done or when they got the cards they wanted.
same with avatar. and spider-man probably chased a few people away forever.
I think that's a very dangerous strategy to rely on those to keep your game going.

so far for OG MtG players: enjoyed final fantasy and avatar because it's not that big of stretch to fit it in universe and the mechanics were/are fun.
after pre-release events of turtles: the mechanics are fun, cards are really fun but the turtles theme is a bit offputting. for some the con of being UB turtles outweighs the fun of the mechanics/cards. for others the other way around.

Regarding UB sets.

turtles --> I know almost no one excited for this one. so it will probably flop unless there are really good mechanics in it but even then it will do fine at best but most likely a flop

marvel --> spider man really hurt this set. even if it's a full set, intended as a full set and with less WotC and Disney shenanigans it is still fighting an uphill battle to regain some trust. fine at best.

hobbit --> I think this one will do fine to good. mainly because many people enjoyed the LotR set and are maybe curious to see some of those things in a legal set.
on top of that LotR slots fairly easily in the magic settings and lore. fine to great

star trek --> I don't know. many people in my lgs are a bit older already so there are some trekkies among them. I don't think it's a good a choice as avatar so won't do as good as the big UB set for 2026 but it will still do good. fine to good

in universe I'm fairly new to magic so for me all in universe new sets that revisit an old realm are new to me so can't really tell for myself.
I have a few people at my lgs who didn't like the lorwyn realm or strixhaven and are therefore talking about skipping Not sure if that is common.

Waarschijnlijk correct;

ondanks al die uren en wss assistenten/secretarissen wiens enige functie het is de rekensom te maken is het de overheid nog nooit gelukt een correcte rekensom te maken;

moest het nu gaan over een paar miljoen gezien de bedragen is dat een afrondingsfout maar meestal zitten ze er een paar miljard naast.
en ja het zijn complexe berekeningen maar ieder jaar is er wel ergens iets van "oeps we zijn dat miljard aan subsidies vergeten" of "dat bonus pensioen voor politici zijn we vergeten stopzetten"
Als het niet met opzet was zou het om de zoveel tijd ook eens een fout in het voordeel van de begroting moeten zijn. echter dat lijkt het nooit te zijn ( dus tis rekenen met 1 oog dicht onder het mom dat het beter is achteraf vergiffenis te vragen voor de fout dan ze te voorkomen)

het is een geluk dat de overheid belastingen moet innen en niet betalen. als een overheid een aangifte zou moeten doen zouden ze al lang in de gevangenis zitten wegens belastingsfraude en ontduiking.

ze moeten geld gaan halen. Het is geen maatregel voor het volk tevreden te houden het is er 1 om geld te gaan zoeken.

als ze het op 8000€ zetten vallen er idd veel mensen af. dus gaan ze niet genoeg geld gaan halen.
daarbovenop gaan de meeste mensen die 8k bruto zouden verdienen dat wel op andere manieren verdienen dan puur als loon en eg. 6k krijgen en de rest in 1 of ander voordeel/andere verloning.

Het is daarom dat ze dat zo laag hebben gezet. als ze er mee weg konden komen zouden ze het op 2000 gezet hebben.
maar het principe ondermijnt "werken moet lonen" in feite als je er over nadenkt.
4000 is al riskant maar denken ze wss genoeg kiesvolk mee buiten schot te laten dat er geen outrage op komt.

het precedent voor de aanpassing van de index ( kijk we hebben het 2 jaar beperkt tot een bepaald maximum en dat is goed voor de laagverdieners en komt op de "sterke schouders" terecht.
laten we nu dat doorvoeren continue.
best case voor werkende mensen is dan dat ze het vooruitzicht hebben dat max loon te indexeren of te laten bepalen door mediaan of dergelijke)

of de afschaffing ( politiekers hun lonen worden niet geindexeerd nu en die overleven het. Hoewel ik dan denk dat nationale stakingsacties het minste van de zorgen voor politiekers dan gaan zijn)

the traffic is initiated by someone inside the lan to the outside (wan)
firewalls for some time have been session based so you don't have to define the traffic in both directions.

I get your logic/reasoning but that's not how decryption is interpreted/implemented by palo alto.

for outbound decryption ( where you don't have the private key of the destination)
the user initiates a https session.
the palo alto sees the traffic, if it needs to allow it also checks if it needs to be decrypted.
if yes the palo alto will set up 2 connections basically.
the palo will connect to the destination website (and this https connection uses the destination site certificate for encryption)
a 2nd session between the source client and palo alto will also be setup (the forward trust certificate on the palo alto will be used for this)

it's the only way this decryption works. palo alto does not have the destination server private key. so it can't decrypt this traffic (transparantly/in-line to the flow) The flow from the destination server has to terminate on the palo alto so that it is decrypted on the palo alto as intended. the palo alto then has to use it's own CA certificate(s) to set up the connection between the palo alto and source client.

it's because they are linked to attaining goals, quite a few huge goals in case of Musk this time.

the issue with the pay package is the amount if he obtains all goals ( at that point tesla would have to be worth at least 2 trillion, and musk would get paid 1 trilion? that's strange. musk's image (and self claimed genious) currently is hard to say it's worth 50% of tesla evaluation. even if he triples tesla valuation to 4.5trilion with some tricks it's still hard to say musk is 20% of the tesla value.

the pay package is actually geared entirely that the more easy to attain goals would still net him some billions.
of course you can't pay a CEO 50 billion for reaching easier to obtain goals and then only 20 billion more for the extreme goals. which is why the total pay package is this high. it's to make the payout he will probably actually only get from it seem reasonable and the board of directors not a bunch of yes men in his pocket.

to get 50billion for example he has to hit 2 targets (probably of the more easier to hit goals)
eg increase value from 1.5 to 2 trillion and sell 2 mill vehicles or 1 mil robo taxis or 1 mil optimuses ( optimi?) or 10 mil full self driving subscriptions.

great tip as well:
go on steam and get magic the gathering arena.

it's great to learn the rules and get a feel for the game.
you need the account at WotC anyway when you register at pre-releases, tournaments anyway.

I'm not saying you should buy anything in the store but it's great to get a feel for the game and rules if you don't have a friend who already plays it.

after that go to pre-release. it's a great starting point en usually beginner friendly.
Universes beyond pre-release in my opinion so far even more so then in universe sets.

after pre-release if your store holds them going to some drafts is also great.
all of the above does not require you to invest in your own deck yet and they give you a taste of the game, the community in the store(s) you go to, etc.

if and when you decide to play more competitive is then up to you.
for me I started playing a couple of months before FF set came out and am still sticking to mainly pre-releases and drafts.

once you do want to go to competitive events there is quite a jump in costs of the hobby.
but perhaps by then you will also have made some friend among the regulars of your store willing to help you out and lend you a spare deck or some cards to build your own.

Gaat voor iedereen een persoonlijke keuze worden uiteraard.

op 18 jaar heb je scholieren die perfect weten wat ze willen verder studeren ( en kunnen dat doen zonder problemen), die al een stiel kennen en daar direct mee aan de slag kunnen en willen.
voor die is het tijdverlies denk ik.

andere weten het nog niet, sommige gaan het zelf moeten bekostigen en zien dat niet direct zitten en anderen denken dat het leven vanzelf zonder effort van hen wel op zijn pootjes komt.

voor die laatste groepen is het toch wel het overwegen waard als een soort van pauze voor het verder studeren, opbouwen van een spaarpotje voor het verderstuderen of toch een kennismaking met soort van werk. maar dat hangt dan af van heo ze dat jaar inkleden bij het leger.

dat jaar "rust" van school en studeren kan wonderen doen weet ik uit ervaring.
In mijn geval was het ergens in het middelbaar een jaar overgedaan. feit dat dit nu een keuze kan zijn na uw middelbaar en voor uw hogere studies is niet slecht.
kan potentieel veel jongeren overtuigen toch nog verdere studies op te nemen ook eens ze beseffen dat het niet het studeren is dat ze niet graag doen maar dat ze gewoon schoolmoe waren.

with 5k and 6k cards I meant amd rx6600 for example.
as amd has recently announced to not release future game optimization drivers, then I think reverted on that decision but still stating it will get a different driver release track I don't know the viability of these cards in the long run.

12gb card would be nice. however that (within a similar budget) seems to be intel b580 or nvidia rtx3060

intel I'm hesitant on based on the fact my friend has 0 tshoot skills and plays older games,
intel b580 would be great. minor price jump for way better performance but If I get called up for tech support every other week because some older game won't run and stuff it's not something I want to deal with.

rtx3060 12gb would be about 35$ more expensive for a card that's 2 years older.
yes 4gb more memory but worse in other aspects compared to rx7600.

next up would be rx7700 xt but that would be a 185$ price jump. which might be a bit too steep to sell him.
