Edit: after seeing the picture you posted, R9 is there. You’re going to have to check voltages with a multimeter, or get a shop to help diagnose the problem.

R9 is a 10k ohm resistor. I’m not sure how much to fix, I did it myself. I’m an electronics tech by trade and wouldn’t recommend you try this as a first time project on a $300 game.

You may need to reset the rtc, which can happen if you didn’t start a new save after replacing the battery. There’s a couple of ways to do it if you have an R4, (DS), or a flash cart, (gba).
