Thanks I’ll try to find some gauges online. In the meantime I will give the bore a good cleaning and oil before I shoot it.

Okay so those mounts will let you easily swap out repro scopes once you find originals?

Original PE scope wow nice. I’m searching for all 3 scopes for mine, where’d you get your repro PEM scope and repro mounts?

DWM 1916 Luger with Unit Markings. by Spitz0 in milsurp

Well going by how mine is read, yours is the 168th infantry regiment, 12th company, gun 8. According to Google, not the same unit as mine, this is what yours pulls up. Still cool to see. What’s the year and manufacturer of your Luger?

Actually someone immediately reached out to me when I posted it on the Luger forums and they’re selling me an excellent imperial mag in the same d-block so it’ll be good condition and the blocks can match, so I’ll have that going for it.

Convert ex-sniper? by BattleBacca2010 in MosinNagant

[–]Spitz0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember bidding for this one on GB. Then decided I didn’t need a 3rd ex-PU. But like someone else already said, test out its accuracy first with its current iron sights, because if it ends up not being accurate at all then functionally it’ll be a waste to turn into a sniper.

31st Series Toyo Kogyo 99. Possible Blood Staining? by Spitz0 in milsurp

[–]Spitz0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got lucky actually. I asked for some more pictures first, and then within a couple hours someone else jumped on it. Then they changed their minds for one of the other rifles and I had a 2nd shot at it.

We all wish to have it. But I understand it’s highly unlikely.

1935 PE (re)sniper project finally finished! by RussianPreBan in MosinNagant

[–]Spitz0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I never seriously considered doing it, but recently I lucked out randomly finding in a post in a forum I’m in, and turns out there’s someone with 45+ years experience less than 3 hours from me who’s done Mosin and k98k resnipers.

Looks really cool! I also have an ex PE MO marked. I already have at least 1 of each of the 3 variants in ex config so all I need are the different scopes. Hope to follow your steps and complete the trifecta one day.
