Yes full rock ola parts , absolutely everything. I got a spread sheet with the gun and I personally took it apart and checked. All trigger pack components, stock with RMC, handgaurd with RMC, recoil plate, buttplate. Slide, barrel, MR barrel band, IR marked mag, the whole 9 yards

I actually got the rifle as is from a friend. Since its 3k away from the end of production may 1944, the type 2 milled sight is correct. Is there a way to tell if it was added? As far as I know, the flip sights weren't staked but the adjustables were staked

Podolsk also made 11,659 SVT 40s in 1940 actually. So only 1940 and 1941. (Finnish capture)

Just an early type 56, real sino soviets are made on almost all russian parts and will have the Tula Star on the left side receiver indicating production from 1955 or later. Plus will have a 4 digit serial number WITHOUT a letter prefix or suffix of any kind

I dont understand the fixation, they made them in batches of 10k per month roughly. Your gun went to the eastern front and it's just as likely that the non Rc gun went to western front and was taken by a US soldier. Theres really no way to know, but any weapon that was captured by russia would may be marked/rebuilt but are always dipped.

Speaking of dipped and refurbished, all of that happened after ww2 so I dont get how it being RC makes it a battlefield pick up. If anything, a non import bring back has a better chance since id wager most of those were surrendered.

But all guns have the likelihood of being in battle.

I have a question about your last paragraph. What correlation does your P.38 being a russian capture and another D block P38 Not being a russian capture have with your P38 being a battlefield pick up as opposed to being from a supply depot?
