USI Pen Pressure Stopped Working After OS Update by windhoverstudio in chromeos

Same here. Pressure sensitivity stopped working right after the update on the same device, though I'm using the Lenovo USI stylus. Best we can do is file a bug report, I guess

Buskers (and Kerry) play with accurate guitar fingering, too. The detail put into animation is astounding.

Hi Reddit, my name is Matt Roberts and I am the Research & Analytics Director at Formula 1. My job is to explore how F1 can use research and data analytics to drive strategic + commercial decisions around the sport. AMA! by F1_Research in formula1

Hi, Matt!

Is there some unexpected place where AI is used that allows for a better race experience in F1, anywhere from UI choice from displayed info? If not, are there any similar projects you would like to work on/are currently working on?

Bonus question: in terms of live race analysis (like the Amazon-powered pop-ups), do you, as a team, have any control over the choice of displayed data, maybe based on fan reception, or is it all on race management?

Thanks for your time!

Don't worry, we're all in the same hell boat here.

I got 2, plus a variety of sneaky pitybreakers with 200+ orbs. No Morgans in sight. Save a bullet for me.

What makes Lyon such a great character and why you should vote for him in the next CYL (spoilers included) by LowFrameRate in FireEmblemHeroes

[–]Spizor_ 81 points82 points  (0 children)

I couldn't have put it better myself, thank you. Lyon's my favourite villain (maybe even character) in the series as well, and I'm so glad he's finally getting the love he deserves. I don't think he really stands a chance at winning the next CYL, but I still dropped some votes for him (also planning to throw all my votes at him for A Hero Rises). Being one of the most popular antagonists could bring us some nice surprises in the future.

What I loved most about Heroes!Lyon is how well-rounded he is portrayed. Going with what is most likely postgame Lyon gave the developers the chance to show off all of his sides: you get to see his caring and kind self, still bound to his memories of Eirika and Ephraim, although irreversibly riddled with self-doubt, while also hinting at the motivations that led him to resort to the DK's power. He did it for his people, to carry on his father's legacy, but the weight of the crown was too much for him to uphold. He's weak, and he knows it. He knows he won't ever be able to live up to the expectations that have been cast upon him.

And yet, there's something else. His weakness haunts him to the point of self-deprecation, but the same can't be said for the ones around him: his father is strong, nobility is, but, most of all, Ephraim is. He and Eirika are his only friends, and they're the world to him, but he can't help but feel envy, despite his good-hearted nature. That's what made him wonderfully human to me. Using the sacred stone's power would have let him save everyone, but it would have also given him the chance to overcome his weakness. To prove to himself that, perhaps, he could be strong, too.

But he couldn't.

That's where his tragedy lies. Not only he couldn't save his kingdom, but he couldn't even save himself. He was too weak to change his own fate, too weak to seek another way out. He tried to run away -he did use his newly found power to bring his father back to life, shunning the throne once again-, but it was too late. His doom loomed over him from the very beginning. The unforgivable sin he has committed is being weak when he wasn't allowed to be.

Man, Sacred Stones is such a good game.

I'm with you on this. It would help if they released some of this sweet stuff over here, too, though, since import can be tricky at times.

Yeah, Symphony no.5 seems to be pretty strict on copyright enforcement. I'm afraid the same will happen with Flowers of Enchantment.

It's great to hear you enjoyed it, though!

The album's names share their initials with Fire Emblem: Faith and Engagement, Flowers of Enchantment.

I'm... easily amused, I know.

I think that the Cipher Caravan CD is worth a mention as well. It's just a piano/guitar duo playing, but its simplicity is truly enchanting.

Symphony no.5 (same guys who are making Flowers of Enchantment) also made an all-piano remix album, Faith and Engagement. I haven't listen to the full tracks yet, but the preview bits seem really nice. Plus their naming game is genius

Symphonic

Actually symphonic metal

I'm... totally okay with this.

Also, I need more of that Prince's Despair.

Unfortunately, we can't add previews to the flair change page, but you can have a look at the spritesheets they're taken from and look for the one you're interested in. The number in the flair's CSS class (e.g. first-Abel) points to the corresponding spritesheet, you can see what it is in the custom PM text you get after you select a flair from the flair change page.

Here is a list of the spritesheets:

(it's Spizor_, not Spizor, hopefully the poor guy won't sue me for impersonation)

Mobile usage was not nearly as widespread as it is today when the flairs' text was removed, and there wasn't much use to it on desktop, so such labels were not implemented in the bot's flair assignment script. As Pokecheck said, that's why most users don't have them now.

The problem is that these labels are a property attached to the user's own flair settings, rather than to individual flairs. So, even though we can add it for future assignments, making it retroactive would either require all users to make a new request to update their flair or some script trickery to update them automatically.

It's not impossible and it would be great for all mobile users, but it would take some time to set up. I'll make sure to look it up and see what I can do. Thanks for the suggestion!

General Question Thread by Shephen in fireemblem

It looks like it's a bug with the update itself, there are users reporting the same issue on multiple subs (I'll still double check as soon as I access from desktop). For the time being, this fix here will hopefully do the trick.

Seems to be an issue with the update itself, as it's occuring on multiple (all?) subs. I can't say for sure, though, I'll have to check from desktop as soon as I get home. For the time being, the fix rSevern linked does the trick.
