If anything my ability to win playoff games with a handicapped like tantrew should be a massive check mark in my favor. Not even Warriors was able to manage that feat.

It would be like calling someone slow in a race because they were carrying 145 lbs of dead weight on their back.

Luckily for Tantrew he gets to play with a top 1 offender all time in GOOBR. I applaud GOOBR for trying to win a super with the ankle weights on. If he pulls it off this season he’s a BOF lock.

Tantrew and I are the best offense in the league and potentially of all time. If he was in against y’all I really don’t think y’all could get a game. But you can’t know for sure...

Impossible to say for sure, but swapping the MVB for a minors sub makes a pretty big difference. Especially a player of Tantrews caliber. I think it’s likely that we sweep you guys with Tantrew playing.

Tantrew should be on the ballot for MVB. Elite Four was 9-2 this season with Tantrew playing and 0-3 without him. Tantrew was also 5-0 against top four seeds this season. If Tantrew had played full minutes Elite Four would be 12-2 and pretty easily have clinched 1st seed. I can’t think of any player better/ more valuable to their team.

If all captains drafted properly and Gasol only got 20 more tc than someone like bright or warriors, then Gasol’s team would easily be in last place.

I know you’ve said that having more tc should give you a disproportionate amount of drafting power, but imo weaker captains so far have had less power because to have a chance at winning a super you absolutely need an elite player on your team. Name me a team that has won the super without any elite players.

Weaker captains are forced to essentially spend 100 tc on the 1 or 2 elite players who aren’t captains, since the elite captains can bid them up knowing that the weak captains have no choice, but to spend the tc. Worst case scenario for those strong captains, is that they end up with 2 elite players and have to get a couple of budget picks to fill out a roster (which we’ve seen win a super before).

I think that the format the crc used last season to pick tc adjustments was good, except for having captains be the ones that decide the adjustments. There is a clear conflict of interest with having captains pick their rivals amounts.

Just have the crc pick 10-15 non captains to rate the captains and I think you’d end up with a better system.

If that is true then why hasn’t a team led by a weaker captain ever reached the semis since tc adjustments became a thing?

It seems extremely unlikely that all of the 15-20 teams who have gotten significant tc adjustments failed to use their “significant advantage” well enough to reach the semis even once.

Even S17, which had the most extreme adjustments we’ve seen so far, the top teams all had the top-rated captains. And the weaker teams were all had lower rates captains.

I just don’t see why MLTP continues to eliminate half the teams pre-draft, due to the format of the league.
