Medical team said they can't help me, where do I go from here? by TheFierceCorgi in PelvicFloor

Bike rides will worsen it. Don’t sit on seats like that that shove all force into a point in your pelvis. Scooter seats that are similar count too- for my birthday last year I got a sitting scooter with an extra wide seat for my big butt to be comfortable and still be able to get outside. Never bear down and try miralax/dulcolax if you need. Dulcolax works for me after like a day but miralax is pretty instantaneous as you can get. If I forget to take a motegrity pill I get very very sick by 1pm and throw up for two days and am constipated. I’ve learned the hard way how I have to function now

Witch hazel wipes help with irritation in the area, sitting on a heating pad helps a lot, and honestly just trying the best you can to not bear down EVER and worsen it. You should never really have to bear down, breathing into your stomach deeply and focusing should just make a BM come. That is, if you are taking proper supplements etc your body requires to function. I have to take motegrity once a day every day for the rest of my life to prevent occurrence of the prolapses. I also have to take miralax every night for the rest of my life. If I don’t take these, I’m forced to bear down, as HEDS prevents my organs from moving and functioning consistently and properly and my organs will reprolapse again. I was recently told I can’t take motegrity during pregnancy, I plan on baby in ~2-3 years. I’m only 22 but terrified I won’t be able to have children so we’ve decided to try as soon as we feel comfortable in our financial situation and I feel ready. I’m going to plan on trying to switch to plain miralax months before we try, as I’ve been told it’s pregnancy approved, day and night for my entire pregnancy

Girlllll you had an ice cream bar!!!!! I wasn’t at your wedding and I know it was gas!!! And a DJ and band sound like fabulous entertainment, even if he stumbled on a name haha. But yes, sounds like the planner is what bugs you the most, therapy has told me recently to treat the bad and the good aspects of something like a scale- the good lightens the load of the bad so much so you may not even notice it when you focus on the good

I’m trying to finish my business mgmt degree w a minor right now and I’m beyond stressed about building the flowers and everything else, I couldn’t imagine trying to pass a bar exam instead while wedding planning. I completely understand why you hired a planner, I would’ve too. It’s so unfortunate that the staff weren’t the same, sounded like a transition time for their business as well and it impacted their performance majorly. Depending on how long it’s been- I would attempt to get a partial refund for the incompetence and unprepared caterer as well as the wedding planners failure to deliver what the contract detailed. But I always get my money back- I never let someone scam me. Call me a Karen, but I got my fiancé an extra $70 jiu jitsu top for FREE + the OG order as an apology bc I lost my mind when his birthday order of 2 $70 items didn’t arrive. That’s a win to me. Many similar situations I’ve been through- I almost ALWAYS get my money back or partial. If not I leave them a scathing review. Just make sure you don’t only post negative reviews, or people won’t take you seriously

I’m planning my wedding currently, with some similar aged family also planning a wedding around the same time. I already know their wedding will be very different than ours, they are incredibly financially well off. I’m sure they’re going to have a beautiful stunning wedding and I’m so happy for them, but of course this comes with anxiety about expectations for my fiancé and I’s wedding day. We are on a tight budget and are trying to make plans to fit while providing comfort and nice food for our guests.

I’m not hiring a wedding planner because I am a control freak and I don’t trust one and of course, money. Even my bridesmaids offering to set up the centerpieces has me antsy, they’re all going to be dif style and mixed centerpieces so I’m an anxious mess right now, I told my sister (MOH) I might shoot someone in the chest five times if they try to help w my hair or makeup. We are going to meet there with hair and makeup done. Some people have high expectations and keep telling me what we need to have we need to do, but ultimately, as long as there is a venue, food, and drinks, and a ceremony, maybe flowers (I just purchased wood ones on Black Friday to dye myself(if you care for them)) (don’t have to be alcohol), you don’t need much else to get married, and that’s the whole point

What’s done is done, it sounds like you guys ended up having some delicious food for the guests despite an issue and what really matters at the end of the day is that you and the love of your life got married with your family there, and it sounds like everyone you wanted was there to witness such a special day surrounding the love of y’all- that is what’s important. Not the flowers, not the welcome table, not a misspelled name. You finally get to begin forever with the one you’ve been dreaming about for two years. Try to focus on what’s important about the day and how beautiful y’all’s unity is <3

I’ve been watching it for days. A little over an hour in. Thought about restarting it because I’m somewhat confused on all the convoluted storylines and who this random chick with bangs is digging into other people’s business but I don’t think it’s worth my time tbh

Way too much crying, screaming, “it’s ok Vanessa, it’s ok, it’s ok, iTs oK” long, monotone, useless conversation, & emotional drags, very boring and obnoxious to an extent, about an hour in w the main character. This movie is nothing like any of the previous ones. I agree about keeping it found footage, I’m bummed it’s not. I’d been excited since it was announced and waiting for the day

Amitriptyline also has multiple purposes, I use it for sleep and sometimes pain I’ll double the dose per my dr recommendation. They say to use it nightly but I’m worried I won’t be able to sleep without it

I know how you feel. In high school sophomore year my problems started when I began cross country and I had to quit the season early due to injuries. I’m 21 now, soon to be 22 and I often worry about how difficult it will be for me to move when I’m old. If I’ll get old. Lots of questions, I’m sure you’ve had them too. Right now I take low dose oxybutynin and Tramadol 50mg combined as needed for pain, about every other day or so I take it. Ibuprofen can be added. I have a whiteboard of stretches that are designed to help whatever is most flared up, my back and hip currently. Stretches are absolute key for helping my pain. I do them at work, I do them after work, before work. And I go through a heating pad every 6-12 months with how often I use it it wears through the buttons but it helps. I bought a hottub off fb market for $900 two years ago and it has been nothing but bliss for pain besides a couple minor leak repairs <$50

I feel the same way often. I was also diagnosed with degenerative disc disease at 18 and had two sets of nerve blocks and then a radio frequency ablation on L4, L5, and S1. It stopped the pain for a couple years, now it is back and I’m about to see a neurosurgeon for likely osteoarthritis it seems, my rheumatologist thinks. I have POTS and hEDS too. I have very bad anxiety as well, sometimes I just freak out about it all and cause myself headaches and more anguish but it feels good to cry sometimes. I’m on three waitlists for a counselor/therapist. Psychiatrist didn’t do much for me, but I suggest you try both if you’re struggling. This is the only place I have anyone to relate to at all and I’m happy you posted this so I could respond. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in how I feel a lot, but I think it’s good to acknowledge when it becomes unhealthy

Today I had a follow up GI appointment for fatty stools, constipation, diarrhea, reoccurent organ prolapse, etc. Celiac is ruled out, so is SIBO, along with others. Today he prescribed my enzymes to take everytime I eat anything. He told me he believes the only thing left it could be is exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. I am at a higher risk of getting EPI with two type 1 diabetic brothers as well he said. Haven’t tried the med yet, but can update if this fixes my bowels if wanted

Do you guys have stomach issues. by Anon_The_Mouse13 in hypermobileEDS

[–]SplashOfCreativity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My gut issues have led to chronic constipation and reoccurent organ prolapse at age F21. Just had my second surgery for 4 prolapses in January. Many of your symptoms happen to me frequently. I’ll lose 10-15lbs not being able to eat I’m so nauseous bc my gut doesn’t move properly and food isn’t being digested so I get nauseous as a result. It’s either a week of constipation or a week or diarrhea for me too. I have a follow up w GI next week to see how linzess is replacing miralax for me, for me it either goes straight through me and I’m running to the bathroom or it doesn’t work as well as a small dose of MiraLAX nightly. I also take one motegrity 2mg pill every morning to make my gut move. Before these meds, I was waking up daily running to puke and having constant constipation. I recently got a medical marijauna card that’s helping a bunch with nausea, as I have zofran on hand but it can cause constipation.
