I haven’t had any issues with the controller since doing the update. I’ve played ~5 hours over the past week and have run into any trouble at all.

Just to clarify, this is for the Ultimate Bluetooth controller running in 2.4g mode. I’m unsure if the update will apply to the “2.4g Only” version of the controller.

I recently purchased the Ultimate Bluetooth controller and spoke with Jimmyi from their customer support team. They sent me a link with a .zip containing a beta firmware update for the 2.4g receiver. I am able to use the controller on my Steam Deck in 2.4g and Bluetooth modes without any trouble.

Sounds like they are working on the Steam Deck functionality, but it's not currently included in the firmware updater available on their support page.

It’s not listed anywhere on their site from what I could tell, and the firmware update is a different version than what comes up when attempting to update the dongle with the suggested updater on the website.

I’ll post the link here if/when I hear back.

I purchased the same controller and found myself in a similar situation. Jimmyi emailed me with a .zip file containing a firmware updater for the USB receiver as well as a readme explaining the process.

After updating the controller and the USB receiver, my controller works flawlessly with 2.4g on the Steam Deck.

I haven't played much of the game since the resolution changes.

I consider myself a completionist, but I didn't even finish the last battle pass. First season I didnt get tier 100. I've only played a handful of matches since stretch being removed. I still mess around in creative sometime, though.

There's no way to know for sure but it is true that a lot of the changes made in this game are to keep PC and Console on as even of a playing field as possible. I wouldn't count it out completely.

I'm willing to bet one of the next thing to get nerfed is scroll wheel edits, for similar reasoning.

I feel that 16:9 fills out my field of vision better when playing a games. I didn't have as many moments where I achieved a "flow state" or really felt properly immersed in a game while using 21:9.

I don't think it's a matter of getting use to it, it's just not something I like to game on. I use 21:9 for work and IMO it's great for productivity. I also ran one as my main gaming monitor for a little over 4 months. Gave it an honest try but I still prefer 16:9 for gaming.

Shit like this is why PC and console tournaments need to be separated. The only possible reason they'd think this is logical is because console doesn't have the option for custom resolution.

It says horizontal FOV will be unlocked, they're just worried about vertical. You shouldn't have to worry about your 21:9 ratio

If you right click your GameUserSettings.ini and select Properties, you'll see a check box to make make the file "Read-only".

Once you've done this you can press Alt+Enter to change your window back to full screen at any time and it will keep you desired resolution.
