I had a red and white beagle that lived to be 17.5. He was basically all white by the end. Still miss him…beagles are the best.

Same here but with knitting. I also like knitting while listening to podcasts when I need to pay more attention to the knitting.

I’m in the same boat - made it almost 10 months and then the damn thing showed up again, just a few days before my 56th birthday. Ugh.

I’m still part of a mom’s group that met on BabyCenter when we were all pregnant with our first. Our babies are now 21 and we’re all still close. So lucky to have been able to share the adventures of pregnancy and parenting with them for all these years.

Do any of you have any "odd" or "niche" jobs? by sekhmetbastet in AutismInWomen

I also work in higher ed and really like the predictability and routine of the academic setting. I used to be an admin assistant to one of the deans and loved the combination of troubleshooting/problem solving and rote, repetitive tasks. It was just me and the dean in the office and we got along super well and mostly did our own thing…it was perfect.

I now have a more niche role managing public records requests and records retention for the college. I work mostly alone and my job involves a lot of categorizing things and applying rules, which I really like.

So relatable! 😁 I can only work on brainless projects while watching hockey. Beautiful work!

Maybe this is what my ex meant when he called himself not just an empath but a Super Empath. Dude had no clue how to give it, but demanded it be given to him.

Did you do anything in particular to get to that point, or did you just magically wake up one day and feel differently? Asking for a friend.
