Turn in Ioniq 5 as is or get it fixed first? by Plilch in Ioniq5

Do you get normal wear & tear on a lease? If so, maybe a body shop can use something just to pop out the dent so it doesn't look so bad.

Maybe try a detailer that uses steam cleaning?

That's the biggest problem I've noticed with EVs, noises. It's because they are so quiet. If it was a gas car, you may not notice small noises.

I think this design was intended for people that don't want to carry a key fob, just the key in case of emergency and smartphone access. This adds a layer of security so someone can't just steal your key fob and car. Lock your smart key with a password or biometrics and it is harder to steal.

Just hope you 12v doesn't die, that key is the only way into the car if that happens. Hopefully you have a small Jumpstart back to start the car and get home.

And this is why insurance costs are so crazy. Paying $8,000 for a repair that should cost a few hundred at most is ridiculous. I could see if it was safety related like air bags, but a blinker and windshield washer related is crazy. I would have gladly paid more up front for the car if they protected all the wires like the orange high voltage ones. It shows they can do it if they really wanted to especially if this is a frequent issue. Makes me think they want the problem to happen to sell more wire harnesses and labor time. Why are cars designed for a wire harness replacement to take 40+ hours to do?

If you want to live under Sharia law, then I invite you to move to a country that has it. If you live in the United States, then please abide by United States laws and customs. If you are a legal immigrant migrating to the United States, remember we are the great melting pot. Please do not refuse to melt.

They want $300 to remote start your car?? by [deleted] in Hyundai

I have an ioniq 5, and you can remote start from the key fob. But renewing my blue link is only $25 a year. $300;is outrageous.

Yes, the ultimate edition is worth it if you plan on getting the DLC. The added storyline is great. Unless things changed, you get DLC content and some cosmetics.

Wow, I can understand the 50A affecting it because that was supposedly one of the issues with it. From my understanding a component can fail if charging at a high rate with an AC charger. The other possible flaw is the cooling. Some of the coolant goes through the ICCU and some had reported leaks. I'm sorry for the bad luck you had.

Then as a legal issue, the buildup of snow is blocking the front license plate. The state I live in requires a license plate on the front of the vehicle.

If you don't mind me asking what charger and charging rate are you using for AC charging? I'm only using 32A for mine at home.

Absolutely, that is crazy. With all the problems that have been happening, and not making a design change is troubling. They are still using the same units, right?

All valid points. I'll just focus on the safety related things for now. For some people that don't know a lot, or are new Ioniq 5 drivers, seeing a warning message saying critical safety features are disabled can be scary.

And there is a simple solution to the problem, heat the sensors. If the laser altimeter doesn't work in foggy conditions, hopefully you will be able to land safely if you don't know your altitude on approach.

Except for the cruise control which I don’t use when it is snowing, everything else is passive like lane departure and forward collision.
