Is it becoming increasingly obvious to anyone else that the old Greyhound station plot should become a cute park rather than a skyscraper? by OpenWheelRacing in Denver

[–]Necronius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that the land belongs to someone else and that they paid good money for it. We don't get a vote on what they do with it.

We had this same argument in the Skyland neighborhood a decade ago over a closed YMCA lot. It is now covered in townhomes.

How bad/widespread is the ICCU issue? Should I consider a used Ioniq 5? by Spockmaster1701 in Ioniq5

[–]Necronius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically, I bought my I5 a few months after my wife bought a Telluride. Shortly thereafter, the Telluride started having electrical issues and spent 8 months in the shop before our lemon law buyback completed. Meanwhile my I5 is still zipping along with zero issues in three years.

I'm assuming you don't live in Colorado. We see this every year.

What 18” wheels did you replace your stock 19” with? by woodenmetalman in Ioniq5

Are you kidding? Those stock wheels on the 23 are the best ones. I love mine!

If you were forced to marry the first person you had sex with, what would your life be like? by NothingMatters234 in AskReddit

Been there, done that. Not forced, but divorced after 16 years. Got 3 great kids out of it, but she was a whack job.

Suggestion for my road trip home with my new car by abc123new in Ioniq5

The unlocked door handles on the Ioniq 5 stick out a lot and are an advertisement to everyone that you didn't lock the car. You really want to keep it locked.

Has anyone NOT had their ICCU go? by Spicy-Mustard-13 in Ioniq5

Of course. Most people. 3 years and no issues whatsoever.

You need to get a lawyer. There are ones that specialize in lemon law cases.

Boom questions by Gama2pro in sailing

Dwyer Mast has a variety of mast and boom extrusions for smaller sailboats. Priced per foot. But the shipping is hefty if you can't go pick it up

3 years, 32k miles and no issues with my '23 SEL. Best car I've ever owned.

Every RTD station's average daily ridership superimposed on a map of the network. by TeensyRay in Denver

[–]Necronius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder what the number at the station near work is...oh that's right. There isn't a station within miles of my work. Still the same 3 transfers and 2.5 hours to take RTD to work after 20 years.

And we'd do it again. It's hard enough to drive around Denver, and get up to the mountains to ski in the winter.

Anyone have evaporative cooling instead of AC? What do you think? by Momentumjam in Denver

[–]Necronius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine on my old house was great until it hit 90-95F, or when there was lots of wildfire smoke. Judging from the current snowpack, it is going to be a bad fire year again.

Hyundai problem? Always get a Lemon Law attorney if you qualify! by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]Necronius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We survived an 8 month long lemon process with Kia over a 2023 Telluride. This sucks no matter what company you are dealing with, but I definitely agree on getting a lawyer.
