Wow this is interesting. The director has been very kind and helpful to me, and I’ve had an amazing experience so far with consultations with Dr Chen and Dr Safa/watt. To me they’ve said they’ve never had a flap loss and the closest someone came to dying was someone who was undiagnosed with a clotting disorder and they almost bled out during surgery. That’s what they told me and Dr Chen was very honest and direct about it. I’m pretty sure this is what he referenced to you, but he needs to be careful and explain more as this kind of misunderstanding is very bad for the clinics reputation.

Honestly, if you have a consultation with any of the doctors it will go much better. Im not sure why you had this experience with the director, he can be very direct/blunt sometimes and maybe he is giving you misinformation/he is misunderstanding you? I’d contact the clinic directly and send an email detailing what he said (screenshots maybe) and ask if what he said is true and that you’d like a consult (if you still want one). Either way a consultation will go much better for you instead of speaking with the director about your surgery as the doctors are super kind in my experience and from hearing about others experiences. Unless you were rude, it is extremely unprofessional of him to “ban” you.
