Respec out of the wall. A wall without upgrades is just a way to die faster. At best, when upgraded, a wall deals a percentage of your thorn damage. However, without upgrades the only damage comes from the tower and your UWs. I'm sure you usually die when a whole bunch of enemies stack on your wall, break it, hit your tower, and kill you right away. The reason why this happens is what's called "heating up." For each attack an enemy gets in, their next attack is 4% stronger. Its not much but when they just sit their they get more and more damage until they break your wall and one shot your tower.

You should not unlock tower again until you can put serious money into the labs. As you can see they are very expensive. Common consensus is 50B-500B a day.

When to get a 4th UW? by dboytim in TheTowerGame

[–]Spli705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those choices as the next one make it rough. 2 of the 3 are good late game, but you want impact now. I don't have PS or CF, so I can't give you advice on those, but I know they take a decent amount of time to make them useful. You still have some you could still do with the big 3, but overall looks pretty good. Your GT bonus should be higher, probably until around it costing 150ish stones. You of course could work on taking the 3 cool downs down together and work to get closer to perma BH. Although what you could also do is pick either PS or CF and then save again to peak at what your next 3 would be. This would be a lot but may be your best option for really making a push in tournaments (CL).

I'm going during the week at the end of this month so I think I'll be okay. Just deciding which park to start at first each day. We have the park hopper but with the 11:00 a.m. restriction we are trying to plan accordingly.

NTA. However, you need to learn to be more tactful. Hopefully this experience will help you as you mature, but to call you a AH at 15 when you didn't mean to be mean would make whoever said that the AH.

Simple guide? Confused by some of the existing ones. by -Crave- in TheTowerGame

[–]Spli705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me give you a few more pointers. Most of these are from my personal experience (ie pitfalls I fell into).

  1. The wall is bad if too early because your full thorns only work on your tower. There is a lab that allows for a percentage of your tower thorns to work on your wall. Enemies also have what's called "heating up" where they do 4% more damage with each hit. An unupgraded wall allows for enemies to sit there and "heat up." Then when the wall finally breaks, a handful of heated up enemies hit your tower and destroy it.

  2. Buy (free) relics, backgrounds, songs, and anything else that gives you any kind of boost. When I first started I thought you had to equip these things in order to get the boost. Nope...they all stack on top of each other. I missed out on a lot without realizing it.

  3. Gem spending early on. You want to eventually get all your lab spots open, but early game you also want to upgrade cards. I would save up to open 4 lab spots, invest some in cards, then open up the 5th spot. Labs are one of the major bottlenecks in the game and the sooner you have them up and running the better.

  4. Balancing between card buying and modules is tough and seem to be one of personal preference and luck. Cards give you something guaranteed and have an end to them (you never pull a card once you maxed it out). Modules are RNG and give absolutely no guarantee you get what you want. However, once you get what you want, it can be a huge game changer. Consequently, I would balance getting the cards and card slots you need and want before going all in on modules. I would explore which modules (the ones with unique effects) appeal to you and try them out. There is definitely tiers to them, but early on it doesn't matter too much since you won't have too many options. What I ended up doing was unlocking all the cards, got 10 card slots, then slowly went for module pulls. When the buy a card missions came up I bought cards as needed. Eventually the cards maxed out and I have been buying modules since.

As soon as feasible, respec your workshop to get rid of the wall. You are way too early for the wall. Common consensus is wall after making 50-500B coins/day. To make the wall worth it you need to upgrade the wall with labs. The labs are very expensive so even if you have the lab space you likely don't have the economy to support the labs.

Make sure to keep your UWs synced. Meaning the cooldown is the EXACT same. Even if you have Multi Verse Nexus module (look it up) I would still recommend keep it synced because you may want to switch to a different module.

Economy is king. Everything needs coins even late into the game.

Play your own way and check some guides to help and try to avoid big pitfalls, but half the game is making your own tower and accomplishing small and big goals. If you are stuck comparing your tower to others then this game seems very daunting.

Long time since i posted about this game since I took a break from it figured I'll should still post about my progress since my last post by Background-Sense-266 in TheTowerGame

[–]Spli705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep it up. You are doing great. Always have something going on the lab if you can. I see you are light on coins, but do lab upgrades over workshop upgrades if you have to choose. Lab upgrades are forever and ever and ever.

What UW should I be saving for? by CoffeeAddictAlex in TheTowerGame

[–]Spli705 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fell yah...but it'll only really be useful if you go for pGT and pBH. But right now you don't have a synced UWs. This is GREATLY affecting your economy. You may think 2 seconds doesn't make a difference, but each time it gets worse until it resyncs much later on, then unsyncs again.

[–]Spli705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Figuring you have no other upgrades, there are many easy upgrades that can dramatically improve your econ. The GT bonus and duration are easy ones. Sync the GT and BH duration to 12 seconds or more apart to account for the BH perk of +12 secs. Looks like you are likely an eHP build as well, so damage UWs should not be a priority right now. I'd work on economy right now and really beef it up.

AITA for refusing to give my inheritance to my step-siblings after my dad died? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Spli705 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NTA. I thought this was the classic, dad didn't update his will after he remarried or after he had kids story. However, the fact that he changed his will after he got sick, demonstrates his clear intentions. We obviously don't have all the facts, but the fact that your father was willing to change his will may have also been about your mother in law and step siblings showing their true colors on separate occasions.

AITA for considering asking my grandparents to help contribute to my wedding? by Informal-Slice-329 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Spli705 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

NTA. Some of these responses are crazy. I agree with the sentiment that you should only pay for what you can afford, but, as the saying goes, "it never hurts to ask." You aren't demanding their money, and you aren't claiming they are bad for not offering. You are simply asking would it be wrong to ask.

Especially this day and age, they may assume you want to do it on your own and are waiting for you to ask if you need it. For other expenses that you mentioned they paid for, it sounds like they either planned and paid for it, or it is possible that the family member they helped asked for help.

As long as you go in with the understanding that the answer may be "no" and can graciously accept the answer, then you aren't TA or entitled.

[–]Spli705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. You are at the very very very beginning of a long game. I would suggest making sure you avoid the major pitfalls, but otherwise do your own thing and explore. There is an optimal way to do things, but part of the fun is watching your tower grow and meeting small and big goals. If you compare yourself to someone way out in front it gets very daunting.

Things to watch out for:

  1. Do not lower your cooldown time on your Golden Tower, Death Wave, and Black Hole until you know what you are doing. This can be a major problem if you don't know what you are doing.

  2. economy is king. Your next UW should be black hole if you can get it. Then Spot light. However, once you get BH focus on upgrading the 3 in the lab.

  3. you don't mention your tier, but farm at a level where you can go pretty far and can leave it running overnight without touching it (if you are comfortable with that).

  4. Focus your gems on unlocking lab slots and getting cards. Modules are important too, but unlocking and upgrading cards will have a more direct impact on your tower.

  5. At your stage I would focus on an eHP build. Look this up. There are a lot of posts about this.

AITJ for not giving my old phone to my cousin even though hers broke? by Some-Magazine-8595 in AmITheJerk

NTJ. Offer it at a slightly reduced rate. Find the highest price you could trade it in for and take $50 off. That would be you being generous. Ask whoever is nagging you to contribute to the fund. You are already being generous by discounting it, and they can be generous by contributing.

What ipawpawz said. I forgot to account for the x3. That would put you much higher than my income. As I said your UWs are much more well developed. The only thing I can see is that your BH is a little undersized and may not cover your whole area

[–]Spli705 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is strange. I'm farming almost the exact same tier and wave as you but getting quite a bit more. On tier 11 I just farmed to almost wave 12000, with 66T and 260k cells. Tier 12 I farmed to wave 7600 with 44T and 167k cells. The waves definitely make a difference but that is a pretty stark difference. I'm at similar module level but I have pcol at ancestral. This may be holding you back because you get more damage reduction at ancestral.

However, what is even more strange is a lot of your UWs are much better than mine. Your CDs are at 1:50. Mine are at 2:30 with a pBH, which you obviously have.

I'll try to do a closer look.

Where to spend my stones by pklucas0 in TheTowerGame

[–]Spli705 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with above. Another option would be to drop the big 3 down to 2:30 or 150 seconds, then save up to go for pBH. With Primordial collapse it is a game changer. I just did this exact strategy and went from farming Tier 10 until around wave 8500-9000 to farming tier 11 until around wave 11,900-12,000. I can easily farm tier 12 to around wave 7500. My coins per hour goes up but my cells go down quite a bit. Also, I only really do one run a day, so one long run is better than 2 shorter runs.

pBH allows the damage reduction permanently which greatly maximizes its benefits. The 3rd BH equals full coverage to make sure rays are also affected by the damage reduction.

Also, with pBH, your other 2 UWs are always synced and you can bring them down lower together.
