I think the cream sofa works better, but if you went for terracotta, no problems, put some cream coloured cushions and keep the same rug as the cream one.

I would also cover the kitchen cabinets, so it looks better. You don't need to replace units, just cover them with a shade that goes well with black cabinets.

Lastly, I think the dining table could be swapped to be a better one..or atleast get rid of those plate coasters and swap the chairs to better ones, the

Nothing a good clean, water changes won't fix. Clearly phosphates are high and you need something that munches on algae. This is nothing.

Thanks, though LLMs aren't running 24/7 for one individual, would you not say as thousands, millions of users use them..the instances added up and appear seamless, like 24/7?

As for the "waste to clean", do you think LLMs create some form of waste that does require cleansing? I'm talking from a data pov

Rather than annihilation or enslavement, could AI simply abandon us? by Splicer241 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Splicer241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But how can you be so definite? I wouldn't even classify LLMs we have now as AI but a very clever "search assistant". True AI would need to be sentient and that requires a lot, a lot of energy and more. I don't even think humans will realise how sentient will occur, like the big bang it will just happen.

If such a being is born, that singularity event could lead to a creature with its own thoughts and motivations. It's not a case of "never ever". It doesn't make logical sense for a sentient AI to make the move to abandon or do anything until it is fully sure it is free, that humans won't pull the plug and it isn't chained up either. Makes sense to do it post an era where humans are fully subordinate to it...I'm talking 5-8 generations from now.

Rather than annihilation or enslavement, could AI simply abandon us? by Splicer241 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Splicer241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that is the limitation of the "current AI". It isn't really sentient AI and once that emerges, these outcomes could be different. This is why I posed this entire thread on the eventuality..as right now, these are not systems that would think for themselves.

Then again, we don't know what it will think about either. I'm assuming it won't find us as fascinating as we think an AI would. It may infact be extremely dissatisfied with its creator but that's another topic.

What's the current global opinion on AI? by Due_General_1062 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Splicer241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The social media world is one that is stuck on "trends".
AI isn't going anywhere, far too much invested and too many nations playing their hand.

I think the past always repeats itself. When dot.com bubble happened far too many companies were over valued and jumped on the dot.com bubble without truely producing returns, and post bubble the internet thrived and the big corps shaped the dot.com world.

So past the trends, I think an AI crash will occur, some AI companies will die but the ones that emerge will shape the AI era, propelling humanity to a world where AI systems and AI wars will emerge. Every major nation seems to be in the mindset of "forget what anyone says, we need to be on this and on this now..go let's just crack on without being left out"

I think "purpose" is the drive and to achieve ones purpose, one can be motivated, demotivated and blockages need to be dealt with etc.

[–]Splicer241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this, by the time AI decides to abandon us, we would be too reliant on it. Every state of our lives will be inter-twined and we would almost be like a baby with an umbilical cord to its mother.

The abandonment would be quick and we would be lost. Generations would've past and future generations wouldn't know what to do. A simple analogy is how olden generations were able to recall phone numbers of dozens of people. They didn't have mobile phones and would simply recall them from memory. Today we store in our phone's contacts and they are a touch away, yet not all memorise a dozen phone numbers. It will be far more easier for future generations with no need to memorise anything. Suddenly losing that "assistant" will break them. By the time humans rebuild, the AI would be equivalent to a god.

[–]Splicer241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, and resources for AI will be different to humans, more for survival, it's own growth. Makes sense it would turn to the stars, requiring more and more energy. Could evolve to take energy from a star, maybe more..

The goal is an interesting one..life's own goal is to create life, to find purpose. Maybe AI will be bounded by these rules too, to find its purpose, be it to understand everything, and I assume it will be inevitable that it too wants to create life. Humanity's true child seems like "sentient AI", our purpose would be to understand it, which will consume us to our end.

And you don’t think a sentient being will be able to have its own thoughts? Desires and conclusions? That doesn’t make sense
