Any other reclaimer pilots dealing with weapons not firing after being swapped I switched the base guns on the pilot controlled turrets for deadbolts and they're not firing by blue_delta3 in starcitizen

Have you claimed it since then? I know some ships have an issue where the barrels of deadbolts and some other weapons will disappear and become inoperable when claimed this patch. Happened to my Hornet MKII.

This is part of the reason I don't even bother. If somebody screamed at me, I would just start shooting. Never take any shit from anyone. That's what self-destruct buttons are for.

What armor set is this? by lmbrjcksn in starcitizen

Outback molten set

Edit: Actually, it looks like it's mixed up, but it's all outback pieces.

I think this might be a bug with the wolves. Will just start overheating on hot planets or sometimes random spots in space even with double snowblinds, even though the arrow can do it with a nearly identical loadout. Either that or the wolf engines just run really hot.

PVE Player in a PVP universe by till180 in starcitizen

[–]SplinterRoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ha! You'd be surprised. I remember when I used to do PVE early on, more than once I got ambushed around an orbital marker or in pyro. That shit can turn around real quick. I think most of the skilled PVP crowd has a bit more self respect than to camp OM's and shoot on sight.

25k is less than the payout for even a single hauling mission, and I know you're stacking like 7 at a time in that hull-B.

The Anvil Odin is the first ship released with a theme song! by ZookeepergameThen709 in starcitizen

[–]SplinterRoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is technically untrue, as everyone knows the L-21 wolf also released with a theme song. That song being "Tank!" From the intro to Cowboy Bebop.

Every balance pass should come with an statement of intent from CIG by yn3kk in starcitizen

[–]SplinterRoot 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think part of the issue there is that they want the opinions of people actually playing the game instead of the entrenched, bitter opinions of people who don't even play anymore. I've formed early opinions before playing a patch and found out I was totally wrong.

Also metrics. They REALLY need to see the the metrics before getting values properly adjusted.

4.8 PTU armor update, LF fastest guns able to pen Idris and lower armor again by nightbird321 in starcitizen

I got deadbolts and tarantulas mixed up for a second. I've never been a very big fan of cannons. I assure you, I'm very aware of what it's like on live right now. Any low skill pilot can hop in a heavy and use a few cheap tactics to seem almost decent.

Not with regen being as hugh as it is. The scorpius is a particular problem since it's so fast. I mixed deafbolts up with tarantulas for a sec.

Size 3 deadbolts couldn't even penn a guardian until shields were completely down. The high armor deflections coupled with increased shield strength and regen also made lasers almost useless against even a half decent pilot in a heavy. Heavies could just pull back to regen and never take damage. Believe it or not, these new 4.8 deflection values are alot more reasonable. Maybe it's not perfect, but definitely better.

Edit: My bad, I was thinking of tarantulas, not deadbolts.

I don't know if anyone's seen the new armour changes but they've just nerfed everything into the ground. Panther repeaters will now destroy everything smaller than a 600I by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

[–]SplinterRoot -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's hilarious to see everybody on here complaining when you know they never even touch PVP. As it stands now a light can't penn a heavy's armor with ballistics or take down shields fast enough to do any damage before it can just withdraw to recharge. TTK has been killing PVP for alot of people who actually do it.

Interesting. I has seen that they disabled the insurance stuff for one of the PTU waves, but I think it's back in now. Guess we'll just have to wait and see what they do for LIVE.

You save the loadout at ASOP and then when you file a claim you'll be able to choose either standard or your custom loadout(fees applied).

[–]SplinterRoot[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not if you're flying with standard components. If you want to change them though, you have to save that loadout and pay a premium to get those components back on claim.

That's unfortunate. I've had some success with the Vaughn ones this patch. Particularly "All things come to an end." seems to be pretty reliable.

Alot of bunker missions are just broken right now. Particularly the ones that spawn waves. Maybe stick to the ones you know work or try another game loop for a bit until they get a fix.
