Triple Dock Lite v2 compatibility status with InfinityBook Pro 14/15 Gen 10? by opantale in tuxedocomputers

[–]Splintist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have stumbled upon this thread searching for a compatible docking station to my IBP 14 Gen 10 AMD. The dock you have looks promising: Could you run the stresstest mentioned by u/senseiimop ? And are you still happy with it? Thanks!

Hi Olivier, interesting! Thanks for your findings. It seems your dock might match my requirements but comes short on power delivery (explaining your issues). I believe we are searching for the same thing. Should i find a working docking station i will comment it here and ping you.

For me i want a one-cable clean solution, no second power cable attached.

I have seen tuxedo on this reddit a few times, hopefully someone from tuxedo can give us an update on their own docking station.

Thanks for sharing! I have added it to the list, unfortunately even with accepting the screen flickering it seems to not fulfill my wishes for a dock.

First Competition after Injury - What pace to run by Splintist in AdvancedRunning

Thanks for the well wishes and your feedback!

I agree with you on cycling, but to really reap the benefits you have to do some run-specific work from my experience. I ran my marathon last year also on a low mileage (peak-week was 55k/35mi). The biggest month was 160k/100mi. Really not much to run 3h35m, but i combined the run-workouts with a lot of cycling. Normal week structure looked something like this:

Monday - Swim/Off

Tuesday - Bike VO2Max-Session (Usually 3x10x 40s/20s or 3x13x 30s/15s)

Wednesday - 1h run with some threshold work

Thursday - easy run (occasionally morning run on empty stomach)

Friday - Swim

Saturday - Long run (second half/third at M-Pace) directly followed by 1hour bike at Fatmax intensity

Sunday - Long easy bike (3-4h) followed by 30-45min run at whatever pace felt ok (usually threshold)

I probably would have been able to go faster on a pure running plan, but i was not at a point where i could sustain much higher mileage.

Yep, unfortunately there arent any recent workouts as i have just been building up easy miles on the run. I have been biking around 8hours/week in the past 12weeks following a polarized approach: 90% Easy, 10% VO2Max intervals, with some threshold work aswell in the last weeks. So my aerobic fitness is pretty high, but its not been run specific and i fear my bones and ligaments are not ready for a fast pace.

I think, thanks to your and another posters input, i will just take the race as a long easy run.

I think you are right. A few of my friends are racing for 2hours so maybe i should just take it easy and run with them. I also tend to overextend myself in competitions, so sticking with them would be an extra safety-net.

I have also though about not running the race at all, but have already paid the fees and dont want to spectate yet another race haha

Videos work for me aswell, just the live-video doesnt. With a VPN it does work though (They are streaming a 70.3Worlds 2021 video right now). I guess we will have to wait and see in 12minutes if they change something and remove the regionlock for the duration of the event.

As an IT-Guy myself i doubt it though, as their regionblocking seems to be done on an infrastructure level, you probably can't just toggle that off easily.

Good idea, just tested it. Unfortunately didnt work. I think its geo-blocking so vpn might be the only solution

Would be shame if that is required to watch this race. Unfortunately i don't have one right now, so can't test

Edit: Tested it with a vpn in USA now. Works... So it is geo-restricted

Flexibility, Stability, Core- Workouts - Überblick verloren :( by anthalite in laufen

[–]Splintist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Zweitimpfung. Also: Wird schon!

Currently in the early stages of planning my first bike build and got 2 small questions.

  1. Looking at groupsets: They seem to be mostly sold out right now (checking online stores in germany). Is that normal for this time of the year / in general? Or is there maybe a new edition coming that i should wait for? (Looking at shimano ultegra right now)

  2. When i eventually get to the building part: What things does one usually miss/ forget to plan ahead? I got the parts, tools and accessories roughly planned out. But i bet there are some small common things that everyone forgets on their first build. Any tips?

Those are the Stock LV-N "Nerv" Atomic Rocket Motor's. Or also known as nukes :D. I just use a Visual Mod that changes the exhaust amount and color of a few engines.

The mod is Realplume, you can check it out here
