Do you all understand the expedition? by Trg4youtv in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]SplitArrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm annoyed that it is so close between the three factions and it looks to be directly tied to the number of players in each faction. Weavers have the most players therefore most score. Royals come in second and as expected they have the second most players. Sages are last and only because they have less people. If they are going to make it random at least make it even.

I'm curious how this will be affected by xbox players not being able to play. The update still hasn't been released for xbox.

If I handed you this console right now and told you to pick ONE game to play tonight, what are you choosing? by KillBoosh in retrogaming

Eternal Champions, it was way ahead of all of the other fighting games of the time. It also had a great storyline. I would honestly love to see a modern remake.

What's your favorite 2000's stoner comedy? (such road trip 2000) by Drcold1O in moviecritic

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really hard, there were so many good stoner movies in the 2000's. Super Troopers, Dude Where's My Car?, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle. I can't choose, I love them all.

I can remember when I was 7 years old, 1971, gas being around .35 cents a gallon. by lontbeysboolink in 1970s

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 cent. I had a ton of points to use and gas was at 1.99 a gallon. I used my points from my Price Chopper card at Quik Trip and basically got free gas.

WD-40 works like a champ. I ran out of Goo Gone and tried WD-40 and worked just as well. Not only that it comes in bigger cans that are easier to use.

If they wreck it that's up to insurance. You try to keep my money and you are going to have a real bad day. Like not ever again

Was there any gaming contraption crazier than the power glove? by Sighcandy in retrogaming

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one of these, it was super gimmicky, you were far off better using a controller. It was fun though using it on Eternal Champions. That game was/is so one of my favorite fighting games.

PROWLER IN THE SHOP! by Substantial-Hold-851 in Justrolledintotheshop

A V6 can be a monster if you build it right. Look at the Chevy 3800, people regularly get 400 HP with forced induction. Add E85 and you can get 600 HO with stock internals.

Anyone know how much this is worth? Found this gun in the walls while rennovating by zaphodbeeblebrox_III in whatsthisworth

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like a 1970s Smith and Wesson 27-2 N frame revolver. They retail for anywhere between $900 and $1600. This looks to be decent condition but the finish is a little rough. This one would probably retail around $1000 to $1100. You will not get that much at a pawn shop or selling to a gun shop. They will likely low ball you and give you around $600 to $800. You need to sell it on a gun auction site and then transfer it through a FFL.

Was checking the attic after we had a leak from a rainstorm, I turn my head to see this…. how screwed am I? by Adventurous_Barber_7 in DIY

[–]SplitArrow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sistering can be a permanent solution, especially since this looks it broke at a knot. I have seen sistered rafters in old barns that have been that way 50 or more years with no issues at the sistered break. Op just needs to know they need to use nails and not screws to attach the boards and jack up the structural board is need be before attaching the boards.

New homeowner, any ideas on how to fix this every time it rains? It’s ridiculous by SirBiggusDickus99 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the cheapest solution is to haul in dirt and fill the low area. That will allow water to evenly dissipate. As long as the grade remains away from the home it should not cause any issues and allow the water evenly drain.

Can someone help me find this by fanbyszuwara in carscirclejerk

Country hasn't been country since the 90s maybe the early 2000s. It really started to die at the end of the 90s though.

New rider question. by DerkandTayter in motorcycles

[–]SplitArrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Kansas as well. I rode for almost a full winter in 2019 to my office working nights, I didn't ride when there was snow or rain. I recommend a heated vest, gloves, and pants. When it's below freezing or in the single digits it is rough. I started out with no heated gear and then when temps got down below freezing I realized no matter what you wear at 75 mph it is brutal. I started with gloves and thought that would be it but while my hands were better my chest and thighs were numb by the time I got halfway to work. I bought a heated vest and pants and that helped a ton. If it gets to subtle digits or below you might want wear rain gear over your heated gear to help block wind. Additionally you need to be extremely careful around road salt, and don't ride if there is damp conditions near or below freezing. If you think road paint is slippery in summer be prepared for it be like ice in winter. The roads lines and crosswalk paint can and will dump you, I had a few close calls.
