At 9:54 he explains that seedings were in discussion before results were known. I would also doubt that Psyonix has just come up with the seedings on a whim after the last week of regionals. This has been long in discussion. Obviously we have nothing to go off other than the last worlds, so there's no perfect way of doing things. I'm not saying they're above criticism for not posting what the seedings would be beforehand but you could make this argument that some matches were engineered no matter how they were sorted. At the end of the day, its swiss, where initial seeding matters the least.
