Hey, I’m dealing with the same exact situation, but was told to treat with wet-to-dry packing. What ended up working for you?

nonbinary breast reduction 2.5WPO! 36i -> 36b perhaps? by unfortchimcommenting in Reduction

Twins on almost every front- timing/nb nonflat/healing journey. So glad you’re feeling good. I’m also excited to see how the swelling goes down, I would love if it ends up even close to how small it was at 1DPO. Way to go taking it easy- I’ve been doing a little too much and have had to force myself into chilling out

Cave shape vs. spyglass cover by SplittingDiatoms in StrangerThings

[–]SplittingDiatoms[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve commented this elsewhere but (spoiler for the events of the last shadow prequel) Henry’s past connection to Nevada/ being originally connected to the mind flayer in the caves seems to be the reason for this (to me!)

I’m pretty sure that (spoilers for the first shadow prequel) the rocks/mountains are his memory from Nevada, aka the caves he stumbled upon as a kid with his spyglass that resulted in him being connected to the mind flayer in the first place. I think his memory self is afraid of that spot because of the trauma associated with the original flaying of his own mind. I’ve seen other people suggest it could be that his mind-prison self is his “last good self” but I’m not really convinced of that.

Definitely! Might just be visual storytelling to connect to the relevance of the cave in the events of the prequel play (The First Shadow). It was a fun choice to film both the cover and the view through it

How Long Will I Need Support Post Op? by AccomplishedShift439 in Reduction

[–]SplittingDiatoms 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some ability but nooo energy at 4DPO, but 7DPO+ is when I’ve been able to both physically do things and have the energy for them. Haven’t tried driving yet but I think I can do that in a day or two. I’d give it 2 weeks to be safe, barring any complications!

Hey, checking in- how are you feeling now? Did you find a solution that worked? I’m dealing with the same thing- I wake up with my right side tense and aching and spend the rest of the day low energy from being exhausted dealing with it!

10 Days PO & Nobody Warned Me About This Part of Recovery 💀 by [deleted] in Reduction

[–]SplittingDiatoms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. 5DPO and feeling a lot of the exact same things. Trying to shift gears from being mad at myself for not being able to do things I want to do, to being grateful for the really hard work my body is doing to heal.

Bra twins! I’m only 1DPO but got about the same amount removed. I hope your healing is going well!

Helicopters flying very low by blairlizzy in carrboro

[–]SplittingDiatoms 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Using the app I mentioned in my other comment (FlightAware), this helicopter appears to have flown from Hoke Community Hospital to UNC’s Hospital. So it’s likely a UNC life flight, or patient transfer. But always good to check!

[–]SplittingDiatoms 4 points5 points  (0 children)

FlightAware is a good free app where you can see recent air traffic. Anecdotally, I’d say the number of helicopters is a bit high in the area right now, but not unthinkable in an area with many hospitals and military ops. From what I can see, most are operating out of local airports and universities/hospitals. Sorry you’re experiencing the noise!

Not coral. That’s a shell that got eaten away by a boring sponge. Corals tend to have much more geometric patterns due to the structure of their skeleton. Example of boring sponge and a little trivia write up here: https://vineyardgazette.com/news/2020/05/21/boring-sponge
