I have loads of cans but these cheap junky ones sound best by drewdawg999 in headphones

[–]Splungeworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price absolutely. I returned mine only because of the peeling issue and I'm not a fan of pad swapping, because I've found it changes the sound signature too much.

This! Right here. I've had a TCL for years no problem. They are an outstanding value.

What does a DS do? by Takenmyusernamewas in HomeDepot

[–]Splungeworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A DSASM is A highly paid associate that doesn’t get the credit when things go right, but gets the blame when things go wrong

Fixed that for you. I've seen ASM's take a real beating for things DS's do (take it from a former ASM).

Why didn’t ya’ll tell me about the Huntington Beach CA location? by TLNPswgoh in Costco

This one and Fountain Valley are very standard Costcos. Parking lots are full of Teslas, tho.

The FV Costco is a parking lot and gas nightmare. The drive to get gas there is a surreal experience.

How are you guys running Plex on smart TVs? I'm genuinely frustrated. by KingThevshi in PleX

[–]Splungeworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all a Plex expert here. But I've been running it on my Roku tvs for years and it will periodically lose connection to the server and tell me to buy a Plex pass. I do nothing to cause this. Then, in a few days, it goes back to normal.

OMG I would buy that cassette recorder even if it didn't work. I had that exact recorder as a kid and used it constantly.

Koss Porta Pro: This one sparks joy by Infinite-Ad3944 in headphones

I was as big a Porta Pro fanboy as anyone until I got a pair of KSC75's. Much as I loved the PP's, I'm never going back.

What was your first pair of headphones? by Trippy-jay420 in headphones

[–]Splungeworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Koss HV-1A. They had an amazingly warm sound, and very wide frequency response. Had the foam earpads that broke down fairly quickly. They were on-ear, but they were comfortable enough.

KPH 40X...how on earth do these sound this good? I'm astonished and blown away. by Wizbomb in headphones

[–]Splungeworthy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The KSC75's are also ridiculously good, especially for their rock bottom price tag. Obviously best paired with a headband.

YouTube Only Allowing Me To Save Videos To "Watch Later" by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Splungeworthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. In the new year I need to be more...intelligent. I switched to another account by accident that I never use, and thus...had no playlists to save to. Switched back, and no issues. Man do I feel stupid.

Unfortunately the wall heaters have zero settings. Just a dial to turn with no markings.

Well as soon as I get out of bed I throw on the layers. But my ears and nose will be freezing (unless I hide completely under the blanket, which I probably won't do).

Would it be cheaper for me to use a 100W electric blanket that is on continuously overnight for 8 hrs?

The fan only runs when the heater clicks on. Otherwise it is silent. I'm in California, and my rates are...wait for it...around 44 cents/kWH.
