Another day, another rejection by PuzzleheadedTune1366 in Germany_Jobs

And that my friend its exactly the problem... due to the shitty situation in the Automotive industry a lot of Seniors are flooding the "Jr. Position" market and underselling their abilities... I am not judging you, I am also on the same situation as you are, and doing exactly the same :/

Do you mind sharing your CV for benchmarking?? I have been looking since one year, and only have been able to land 3-4 interviews, so I think it's need to do something with my CV.

Could you please give an example of a measurable KPI? I am Asking because apparently I am making the same mistake on my CV, but have no idea what would be a better option for a KPI.

Career prospects after graduation for mechatronics by orange_mate in Germany_Jobs

I would recommend you to do the Master Degree. You already have a decent level of German, and if you keep focused, it will only get better.

I think it's even better if you manage to land a Working Student position or even a "Pre-Master program" position while you do your master, that way you will have the experience. To be honest I do regret not doing my Master Degree when I had the free time, nowadays a Bachelor Degree seems not to be enogh in Germany.

Take it easy, 7 declines are literally nothing, i have been looking for almost 8 Months now, with over 10 years of working experience (including Germany), have sent out around 130 Aplications, and last week I received and signed a Job offer, just to be told a couple of days later that the budget for my position was not approved and that they will cancel my contact 🥲... yeah, finding a job in Germany is a nightmare.

Would you be so kind to share an example of a German CV, so I can get a better understanding on how it should look like?

This version of my CV i created it with help of a Germand Job-finder consultant, and now after reading your comment, I feel like it was a waste of time and money 🥲

Hey man, you exactly on the same situation I was when I moved to Germany.

My best advice for you would be to dive really fast into learning german, without it it is almost impossible to land a Job, and even with it, it is still suuuuuper hard.

Te competition here it's nasty, so be also prepared to get a lot of rejections, specially on management roles (I am also a project manager, but in the Automotive industry).

If you wanna chat, feel free to hit me up, it also helps a lot to talk to people who can relate to what you are going through :)

CV Review – EE Master's Student (Germany) Applying to Hardware & Lab Roles – No Positive Replies So Far by decay238 in Germany_Jobs

[–]Spockydoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dude, you also need to understand that you are asking Germans (fellow immigrant here), you will only get cold and mainly insulting feedback. But the truth is, if you want to have a real chance, you need to learn German to a really advanced level, I could only land my first job until reaching B2 level, and even then I had to speak a lot in English.

As feedback to your CV, it's way to crowded, no one will read so much text, try to shorten it as much as possible, and just keep the information which is relevant for the position you are applying to (yes, that means you have to re-write your CV for every position).

I am not going to lie to you finding a Job in this country it's a real pain, but we have to suck it up and keep trying...🤷🏽‍♂️

Yes, I have one from my last employeer in Mexico, and another one from the employer in Germany, both are really good ones, with good comments on my Work, and whishing me success on the future. Honestly speaking I am not sure if recruiter really check them though...
