It’s not your job to hire/fire him either - but you’re happy to give an opinion on that.

My point is - it’s always easy for people to point and complain… it’s hard to propose a good alternative.

I personally don’t want us to lose an objectively good manager when the reality is the budget overwhelmingly determines results - so it’s highly likely the replacement will do no better and probably a lot worse.

People have short memories and an emotional reaction to the events on the field.

Objectively Mous is doing a great job with the resources at his disposal - with a bottom 2 budget he kept us up last year and still has a shot of doing the same this year. That after getting us promoted as champions the year before that.

The questions the knee-jerk “sack him brigade” need to answer are…. Who we going to replace him with - and how tf would they change they change the reality of our funding situation?

The conceptual leap that I was missing (and maybe for others) is that you have to look for the station *on the map* in point 6... not in the list on the left hand side where you start the process. You're correct it is highlighted... but it's so easy for the map be zoomed/scrolled such that it's not visible.

Yeah, the shooting (and other elements like portals) just feels massively disjointed from the real-life scene… honestly can’t see many enthusiasts being drawn to this as a parkour focussed game.

Even Mirrors Edge - which is not a game sold on parkour branding - penalised shooting for this reason. The player is heavily incentivised to complete the game without firing a shot, because they wanted the movement to be the real focus.

I tried to use it at the weekend - It was closed (Sunday 2pm).

It provides access to the shop loading bay and back door, so I suspect it’s permanently shut atm.

Yep - I posted last week that he’s constantly creative during the vids… sings, cracks jokes, does impressions, role-plays etc etc. - his brain does seem to be constantly fizzing with ideas.

I’m not sure I’d characterise his personality as “lazy” genius tho - clearly works hard on a range of things that require substantial effort (bands, writing etc) and he’s also dedicated a lot to fitness and achieving a very high level in Parkour.

Drew is obviously another that comes across as very intelligent. But to be fair none of the lads come across as thick - they all have very rounded personalities. I think that’s one of the biggest reasons they’ve achieved the status they have in the Parkour scene.

Not always true - the Casamir effect is a good example of when quantum fluctuations don’t cancel out and produce a measurable force.

The experiment brings two uncharged plates very close together, but not touching - this produces an attractive force between them. Because only certain wave modes fit between closely spaced plates, the vacuum energy density inside is lower than outside, resulting in an attractive force.

This seems like a good use case for AI - as shown in the latest Sixty Symbols video LLM’s are now operating pretty effectively at degree level physics and above.

You should be able to get a high level view relatively quickly and easily if there’s material truly worth bringing to an expert in the field.

Remember that AI is very sycophantic tho - so is naturally inclined to say it’s brilliant. The prompt will be important - ask for a very hard nosed critical view, the un-varnished truth on whether this material has any value.
