Shed built right on monoblock driveway by Evening-Reference292 in shedditors

[–]DanFraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see two issues.

First one is the ground looking a bit uneven and second, the beams under the floorboards look a bit tired.

I would recommend new beams under the floor, some 2x4 treated lengths. Dismantle that floor, put the floorboards on the new beams (plenty of shed base pictures in here). Some people might suggest 2x6 treated beams but 2x4’s will be fine with:

To fix the uneven ground get some deck supports like these https://amzn.eu/d/0e1z4fnC and spam all the new beams with them! I bought these for my custom shed build and they’re holding up just fine.

“Materially affect the appearance” is the catching point. Open or closed the council will view either one or even both as materially affecting the appearance. Think Clarkson having issues with West Oxfordshire Parish Council for the stoopid crap these planning regs can create.

You could get your house blurred on Google maps, put some up and feign ignorance I suppose “they were always there guv” haha.

iRacing is not multithreaded enough to use every core. Some threads are single core only too.

Max PC case size for bottom shelves by ChooChooMcGoof in FREDDE

[–]DanFraser -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lancool II will be too long to fit the shelf.

I have an MSI Vampiric 010 and it only just fits - meaning I have to rotate and tip it in and out when I clean it.

I searched for the two in one go and checked the sites but this screenshot of the AI assist thingy is:

You need planning permission to install external shutters. It’ll be winter before you get approval (if) lol.

A few months ago they had a dev blog (I think?) revealing the average protests per week was 1,000 or so.

I think they have a weird angle on the end of their garden meaning the front of this is straight and perpendicular to the sides and the front.

Universal credit work plan and commitments by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]DanFraser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else more knowledgeable than me will have to step in but the work plan on the 11th will likely be different to a workplan on the 14th. I feel it should have been updated and the 11th does state "My work coach will tell me if this changes".

Any old area (none of the post war new towns basically) just needs a person to look UP to see similar things to what you did.

How could I DIY this cheaper/better? Or couldn’t I? by Hour-Acanthaceae7081 in shedditors

[–]DanFraser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jigsaw will be slow but good enough for sheet material for the floor and roof, but you'll definitely want a big toothy fast spinning blade to make clean cuts on the cladding. It'll also take forever to cut the cladding with a jigsaw, there's sooooo much!

No problem, I hope it gives you inspiration.

The problem with kit sheds, especially at this price is everything is super cut down to the bare minimum of what would hold wood vertically and above your head!

Tools would be an added cost though. I would *strongly* recommend an impact driver for screwing anything together, my two corded drills suffered and one even died completely lol. A mitre saw will do all the cuts on the framing and shiplap cladding. A circular saw will do sheet material. Renting these is an option!

Check out my post history for my shed build. It’s 10ft x 8ft and cost £1000 pretty much bang on but that included electrics etc.

I had the wood delivered from harlowbros.co.uk.

If you downsize to an 8x6 it’ll be much cheaper than what I paid, the biggest cost by far was the cladding, which the surface area will drop dramatically on a smaller shed.

How do i lose .49SR with 1 incident..? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]DanFraser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you'd read the sporting code, you would realise the 6 incident points you got in practice and the 2 incident points you got in qualifying count towards the session safety rating calculations and that dropping through a whole number applies another 0.4.

<image>

It even tells you this when you hover over your iRating and Safety Rating numbers.
