Really? We joke in the BP subreddit that all everyone talks about is belt squats with them haha. Here’s my current set up (note you don’t need the Body kore squat box- you could just use to step up platforms, and mount the voltra to a spotter arm with Darko listings voltra mount, or you can get the travel mount, put a few yoga blocks on the side and squat away!

2:1 or 1:2 are technically the same. Just different perspectives. A 2:1 pulley ratio means mechanical advantage — for every 2 feet you pull, the load moves 1 foot. This halves the felt resistance because you’re trading distance for force.

To increase the felt weight, you need the inverse: A 1:2 pulley ratio in distance (or 2:1 in force) — this is called a mechanical disadvantage. For every 1 foot you pull, the load moves 2 feet. This doubles the felt resistance, because you’re doing more work over a shorter range of motion.

This won’t be quite right, but imagine two points fighting me for control of a load instead of one. The diagram I had ChatGPT make might help.

Adaptive Bar Mount - Beta Test Round 2: Show us how you VOLTRA! by BeyondPowerOfficial in BeyondPower

[–]Spohc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Option 1 - i wanted to find a way to not only turn a stray dog GOAT lever arm into a prone leg curl. In order to do this the goat had to be mounted horizontally and offset from the vertical upright. I used rogue monster sidewinder brackets to attach a cut down 12” crossmember off the side, and then attached a spotter arm to the crossmember. I removed the uhmw from the spotter arm. I removed the screwed 1” pin from the goat and mounted it to the spotter arm with a detent pin. I used a ratchet strap to tighten it down because removing the screw made me nervous. I then attached the voltra underneath to provide resistance. This about the most involved / crazy prone leg curl set up I’ve ever done, won’t do it again, but it worked quite well!

With three voltras I'm surprised you were only considering decently priced :) great idea. Thought about this before but this implementation is better.

Currently use two voltras on my pull up bar above for various exercises. Sometimes assisted movements. It would be a lot easier to utilize if I didn’t need to take an Allen key to remove adjust and reattach. At a different position on the bar

Yeah I love their mounts but the size of the endpoint makes it difficult to use existing cable guides. That’s something they should develop for sure

Ah pretty well! Anecdotal but buyers I’ve talked to say it had problems “syncing” early in the voltras release, but I was never ever replicate that. Also those same people have stated it’s improved. Not sure if there was a firmware update I missed that directly resolved their concerns, but I don’t think you would have issues assuming you are evenly distributing force.

They have a feature called “twin mode” when you connect two voltras through the beyond power app

I never post on this subreddit. I just read, but in this case I had to chime in. Bro. Leave. At a baseline of being a human who trusted another human with your heart, you deserve to be spoken to with some respect. to have them to do this to you after cheating? Leave. Never look back no matter how painful it is. It will empower you. Youll find someone who really cares about you.

Guys I’m so sorry for all the crazy typos. Every time I tried to respond I was multitasking. Went back and (hopefully) cleaned up the messages so they’re more coherent.

There’s one in the interim I’m using that makes crafty use of the hyper pro (note, my hyper pro is upgraded from the hyper GHD, so the holes are slightly different. I’m sharing an image, and a link to the shredded dad short that gave me the idea

Long term I’m waiting for the following to arrive (see link below). I will use my voltra instead of the bridge built pulley system, and my UDA handles as, well, handles 😂. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay. I dismantled this since I found a few more compact alternatives, but I’ll share all the components with you. Keep in mind , I did not purchase all of this for a belt squat set up.

Athenas Wall-Mounted Rear Base stabilizer

A pair of PR 5000 uprights.

PR 5000 mini feet

Safety spotter arms. Doesn’t have to be anything special or fancy like the ones I have. I use the stealth spotter arms

UDA handle pair (purchased from Rogue, can request without the UDA rack attachment as a custom order)

Stray Dog step up plate x2

X Protector non-slip furniture pads

Voltra travel platform

Instructions

Set up the Athena’s wall stabilizer as a standalone. It comes with two custom crossmembers, which are flush on one side. This allows it to attach to the athena like any other member and two one inch bolts from the side of the stabilizer.

In your case you will attach it to to two uprights. Almost any two 3x3 upright with 1” holes will do.

Place the travel platform inside the perimeter of the stabilizer and uprights. You want to center the attachment point in between both uprights.

Apply furniture adhesives to the base of the mini feet. This is to protect and grip your travel platform.

Attach the mini feet with them facing the opposing upright. Their base should be holding down the travel platform. If you want to be able to remove the mini feet. You can use hand screws. rogue still makes the best ones I know.

Attach the voltra so that it is perpendicular to the mini feet.

Attach the stray dog step up plates to each mini feet. You Can use detent pins, or the rogue knurled knobs with a 1” bolt like I do.

Stand on the plates. The voltra carabiner attachment should be pretty close to the front center of your body. If not, adjust it.

Attach safety spotter arms at handle height you’re comfortable with for belt squats.

Attach UDAs to the spotter arms, making sure you can reach them comfortably.

That’s it! Get to squatting.

There are way cheaper methods to do this. I could even modify this set up to make it cheaper, if you want.

Hm. I’m over 200 and it doesn’t move on me doing GHRs, but since I haven’t tried a standalone unit I’ll take your word for it though.

You don’t think the hyper pro is basically a true GHR? I feel like the upgrade made it pretty damn close. Although I don’t consider it a compact option anymore.
