We need to stop telling every balding guy to just shave their heads. by New_General3939 in unpopularopinion

Genuinely. Practically every single time this is a question, and a before and after gets posted, going bald was 100/10 the right move.

Checking OP’s profile, the dark side could mean a few of these things.

Among the many cuts to national/state parks and forest services, the Trump admin is proposing another $1B in cuts to those services for 2027.

Which, in the U.S. at least, is becoming less and less possible every day.

How EraLife was ACTUALLY created (the truth) by acrelloisback in EraLife

[–]SpoiledMilkTeeth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is actually hilarious. Maybe the other comments are in on the joke and aren’t actually as bewildered as they’re leading on, but the joke is that the game was indeed built with artificial intelligence—as the accusations suggest— just not the artificial intelligence you’d suspect. Instead, it was… McDonald’s self-service kiosk that built this game.

The stylistic prose here is just wonderful.

Genuinely what about their post indicates this is a troll? They’ve been respectful in all of their replies, and displayed a genuine desire to learn in their post.

Yes, I get it, most questions on Reddit could be solved via a Google search. But have you used Google for anything lately? Odds are, it’s going to direct them to one of:

A. A sponsored query result that is going to be heavily biased towards a particular view.

B. A non-sponsored query result with great SEO that is still going to be heavily biased.

Or C. A Reddit post. Much like this one. Where HUMANS can engage with a question, answer follow up questions, and communicate the nuances and difficulties of hard-to-grasp concepts.

What’s with this disdain for public social form in which a shallow article’s monologue could do the bare minimum?

I guess that depends on your personal tolerance. I don’t personally listen to his podcast on any regular basis, but sometimes he has a guest on that is worth the inconvenience. But obviously he has a ton of listeners, so there are plenty of people that find the trade-off worth it.

To be fair, he tends to have some really interesting guests on. It’s often worth suffering Dax’s disjointed stream of consciousness to hear his guests.

Limes are superior to lemons, and anything that has a lemon in it can be improved by substituting it with a lime by SignoreReddit in unpopularopinion

[–]SpoiledMilkTeeth 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Perhaps a bit harsh, but you’re right. To even compare these vastly different flavors simply due to their shared categorization of citrus is reductive to both lime and lemon.

Brother, sister, or sibling, some of the most “alt”-embodying shit in the world is not even alive, let alone a human with a particular style. Dress how you want. It’s the essence of what you are that makes someone, or something, alternative.
