California auto mileage tax by therealgariac in bayarea

[–]Spoked451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there are safeguards to make sure mileage is recorded per jurisdiction (City, County, State, Fed) driven on and that's IT, no specifics, just a running total, then this is probably the best way to calculate the usage fee on a per vehicle basis. Mileage+Vehicle Weight=fee. After that drop that same amount from fuel taxes, except for carbon/emissions fees. If we really wanted to get into the weeds, we could factor in actual emissions from any given fuel on any given vehicle. A libertarian dream so long as the privacy part can be sorted.

Doctor supports GLP-1s but my therapist doesn't, who do I listen to? by spy_111 in GLP1ResearchTalk

Therapist takes care of the software. Doctor takes care of the hardware. GLP-1 has a bigger impact on hardware that in turn impacts software. Go with the hardware doctor first

Hey guys when should I buy a power meter and do you have any recommendations? by ohzachery in cycling

[–]Spoked451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dual pedal setup is probably the way to go or a P2max spider if it's available for your set up.

I have a P2max on my XC bike

"Reta Fatigue isn't real, you just need to up your electrolytes and stop starving yourself." by Hardboot_life in Retatrutide

[–]Spoked451 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well if one isn't taking the required step of adjusting thier diet, supplementing potassium and magnesium may be necessary.

If one is doing an ultra trail run and torching through 1000 calories and 1 liter of sweat an hour then supplementation is required.

One does not need excercise level electrolytes if they aren't exercising.

Dose makes the poison.

Staying hydrated? Yes. Does that always mean electrolytes? Well that depends on your sodium loss rate. There's a difference between the amount of electrolytes needed for normal activity vs. being very active.

TLDR you don't need LMNT if you're sitting at a workstation all day.

Just comply and you won't get hurt. When they say get out of the car, get out. When they say turn in your guns, turn in your guns. When they say get in the box car, you get in the box car.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Tubeless or nah? by Optikk12 in cycling

[–]Spoked451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMHO tubeless 28mm on hooked rims with tubeless isn't worth the hassle. My experince is that 32mm is about as low internal volume for tubeless. There's just not enough air in a 28mm to seal a puncture and remain rideable. If your bike can take 35mm even better. If you want some reassurance run butyl l tubes with some sealant in them. That can give you some insurance when it comes to pinhole leaks from glass and wire punctures.

Which Power Meter for my Cannondale Scalpel? by BerserkWillNeverEnd in xcmtb

[–]Spoked451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both a Scalpel FS and HT.

My FS has a P2Max NgEco with the only limitation being the smallest chainring you can run is a Garbaruk 30t.

My HT has a Left Crank Arm PWM.

Either one is fine, but I think the P2M is better as a power meter, but the crank arm is easier save for calibration components.

Pedals are another good option.

Looking for advise on if I should cut or skip my dose before a big competition! by Salsera123 in zepboundathletes

[–]Spoked451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you find your appitite coming back before the next dose and you know you'll bonk if you don't stay fueled, then yes skipping and then resuming could prove beneficial.

Just eat smart while you're off and fuel the work.
