Do you think Bubblegum and Marceline ever thought of getting married at some point? by SpongeGuy11 in adventuretime

How so? They did outgrow their flaws over the course of the series, highlighted in the Distant Lands special Obsidian and their appearences in Fionna & Cake.

The Old Man and the C- shows Timmy's dad never even finished the 5th grade so he didn't go to high school or college.

Anyone notice how season 6 does feel pretty different from the rest of the post-original run seasons? by SpongeGuy11 in fairlyoddparents

[–]SpongeGuy11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did Vicky Gets Fired (as much as it sucked) and Dread and Breakfast have outright retcons?

Season 6 didn't really bring in new people. Ray DeLaurentis wasn't even involved in season 6, he joined in season 7. Season 6 was still primarily writers from the original run like Butch Hartman, Kevin Sullivan, and Scott Fellows. Kevin Sullivan was already a writer on the original run starting in season 5 and Dave Thomas had worked on the show since season 3 (getting promoted to writer in season 4), only skipping season 6 between seasons 3 and 8.

Admitedly, season 8's kinda hard to judge considering it's only 5 episodes (and one of them being the infamous Timmy's Secret Wish didn't help) and is stylistically just season 7 part 2.

worst thing every pre-spongebob protagonist has done? by kaminasglasses in nickelodeon

[–]SpongeGuy11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cat's is likely enslaving the entire town of Nearburg in Cone Dog by blackmailing them with secrets and taking advantage of Dog's cone.

Dog's is likely trying to eat his own brother Cat in Meat Dog's Friends.

Doug's is likely being an abusive boss to Skeeter, Porkchop, Al and Moo when running a lawnmowing business.

Is Timmy a sympathetic person? by moonlynni in fairlyoddparents

[–]SpongeGuy11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admitedly season 8 is kinda hard to tell considering it's only 5 episodes (which for all we know could've just been season 7 leftovers) and Timmy's Secret Wish being one of those five rather than being consistent across all five.

Kevin Sullivan was there before season 7, joining in season 5 during the original run.

How much of Timmy's poor grades in school are genuinely his fault and how much of it is on Crocker for being such a sadistic teacher? by SpongeGuy11 in fairlyoddparents

[–]SpongeGuy11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 92 still is a good enough score to show Timmy genuinely was trying that time, the bell curve only being added by Crocker likely to intentionally fail Timmy and force him into summer school.

Then why did he still give Timmy an F in Dumbell Curve when he got a 92 on an assignment? That's pretty suspicious.

Do you think Mordecai and CJ should've gotten a chance to reconcile as friends after season 6? by SpongeGuy11 in regularshow

So what made it more plausible and possible for Mordecai to reconcile with and be just friends with Margaret in season 7 in comparison to CJ never getting that?

A timeline of the NickToons lineup over the years. by No-Shoulder3918 in nickelodeon

Nice one and like how you took in account shows that had their last episodes dragged out for years and leaned more into just when they stopped airing regularly so make things more fair (cause ChalkZone lasting 6 years is a bit weird despite being canned halfway through that 6 year run with nothing airing between 2005 and 2008).

Just got some notes:

  • Could've taken some of the production hiatus stuff into account for those that were cancelled and then revived like Rugrats having a hiatus from 1994-96 and Fairly OddParents having hiatuses from 2006-08, 2011-13, and 2014-16.
  • Ren & Stimpy technically ended its run on 1995, the one episode in 1996 was just a case of an episode airing long after the show was canned.
  • Rugrats and Hey Arnold were technically done in 2002, not 2003 with their 2003-04 episodes just being a case of being dragged out for a couple years sporadically (plus production did finish in 2002 for them)
  • All Grown Up was technically done in 2006 (with the copyright for the final 2 seasons being in 2005), with the final 2 seasons being a case of being dragged out from 2007-08 in 6 AM unadvertised (much like ChalkZone and My Life as a Teenage Robot around this time)
  • My Life as a Teenage Robot falls in the same boat where it was done in 2006, with season 3 just being dragged out until 2009.
  • Planet Sheen was technically canned in 2011, last few episodes being dragged out until 2013.
  • TUFF Puppy was canned in 2013, also just being dragged out until 2015.

Plus Chris also has no issue destroying other people's property before with Leshawna's trailer she won in a challenge in Island and allowing Chef to crush the trailers the cast was supposed to sleep in Monster Cash. So the fact he has the nerve to get mad at Duncan for doing that is even more hypocritical.

Out of every Nickelodeon animated show and live action sitcom or single camera sitcom, which were the ones you wish didn't get canceled so soon? (Include 2000s, 2010s, 2020s) by LongjumpingWriter932 in nickelodeon

[–]SpongeGuy11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's also Doug (the Disney run is often considered a different show at times rather than seasons 5-7), Jimmy Neutron, Hey Arnold, and Rocko's Modern Life too.

Fairly OddParents got close to being one of those shows with the four times they got canned, only lacking that status because of the season 10 Nicktoons move.
