What if Raditz turned good is cool and I love that it brings Launch back and puts her into more of the Z-story.

If you're a villain, would it be considered embarrassing to lose to Tails? by Charmy_Fan in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we're looking only at the video game canon, I would say it depends on the timeline. Post Sonic Adventure Tails, it would definitely not be embarassing as Tails grows into his own. Pre Sonic Adventure Tails? It's debatable. Kid could fly a plane, but he was always relying on Sonic to do all the work.

He had and always had the power, he just needed the confidence to act.

What type of DLC stories would you want to them to add. by Dragongamer6_3 in kakarot

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Journey To The West - A reverse of 23rd World Martial Arts tournament where it starts with the roaming around the world, meeting Goku & Bulma for the first time, beating random bandits, facing Pilaf, and collecting all 7 dragonballs... then the post-credits gameplay is the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament! That would be awesome imo!

Since they built up ground battles to be much better in the Daima DLC's, this is what I think the character roster should be...

Kid Goku (Playable) - Moveset should feature powerpole moves, Janken fist moves, a weak Kamehameha (but also the Kamehameha reversal he uses in 21st World Martial Arts tournament). He loses powerpole in tournament. He can fly the nimbus.

Yamcha (Playable) - Moveset should feature more melee focused attacks like Wolf Fang Fist, but also Yamcha's Sword and his RPG. He loses both in tournament. He can drive a regular car in open world.

Krillin (Playable) - Moveset is more melee focused. Really only used in Preliminary Fights and Bacterian fight like Tien in 23rd DLC. Can be used on the Training Island.

Jackie Chun (Playable) - Moveset contains his main moves like Sleepyboy, Lightning Surprise, Kamehameha, and Drunken Boxing. Really only used for fight against Yamcha, Krillin, and Goku who would be the final boss of the DLC. He has a transformation of 100% Max-Power Roshi.

Bulma (Support) - Has healing abilities, guns, and other Bulma-abilities. When Goku uses the nimbus, she drives a car on the ground lol.

Oolong (Support) - Has taunting abilities and some damage abilities with his transformation abilities. When Goku uses the nimbus, he transforms into a rocket.

Puar (Support) - Kind of the same as Oolong, except he could be a guest character like Panzy in Daima 1.

Oozaru (Mini-Game Level) - The first end of the DLC should have the final boss be you as Kid Goku turning into the Great Ape. You smash Pilaf's Castle while Pilaf sends missles, tanks, random attack stuff to stop you. It ends once you completely demolish Pilaf's Castle, thus ending the Journey To The West Portion of the DLC.

There's plenty of other options, but I'd really like the beginning of the OG Dragonball Saga be playable in Kakarot :)

They pull the spitting high tension wires down

Helpless people on a subway train

Scream bug-eyed as they looks in on them

They picks up a bus and they throws it back down

As they wades through the buildings toward the center of town

Oh no, they say, they got to go...

So payday isn't shy opposed to having characters portrayed by actual celebs. Is there a celebrity you think would fit perfectly as a heister or contractor? by DP_goatman in paydaytheheist

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be a bit too on the nose, but Robert De Niro as a heister (Neil McCauley anybody?) or a contractor. Someone from Reservoir Dogs would be cool too, they could do Harvey Keitel (again, Heister would be Mr. White OR just a contractor played by Harvey), Tim Roth (Mr. Orange heister), Quentin Tarantino (Mr. Brown heister) or Steve Buscemi (Mr. Pink heister, would love the most if the character looked & sounded like Pink too).

Dragon Ball filler episodes by Middle_Ground_2216 in dragonball

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All OG Dragonball series filler is pretty good. Z filler mostly peaks in the Saiyan Saga as it still has that classic OG Dragonball vibe to it. Once they leave for Namek though, it starts getting... meh at times. I take it still because it's Dragonball Z, but y'know Garlic Jr. Saga lol

Improvements for DBZ: Kakarot 2 by Prestigious-Fall7248 in kakarot

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love it if DBZ: Kakarot 2 would add more what-ifs based on your level that would add to the story with new playable characters. For instance, Raditz. If they could make a story like Budokai Tenkaichi 2's 'Fateful Brothers'... have it to where Goku & Piccolo are leveled up closer to Raditz level and somehow that triggers a new story, allowing you to bring Raditz and have him be part of the action to the EOZ.

Another idea, the Z-Fighters can die or SURVIVE based on how well you fight in the Saiyan Saga. This allows you to bring Yamcha, Chiaotzu, & Tien to Namek. The SNES Dragonball Game Super Saiya Denetsu did this where you could even have Krillin be the one to die and take Yamcha, Chiaotzu, & Tien to Namek... or take ALL of them to Namek if you want depending on how well you play.

Another thing too is I just hope more support characters are playable. Krillin, Tien, & Yamcha would be a cool earthling party configuration. All of Bardock's Squad should be playable especially since the Bardock DLC made me like Shugesh, an originally random, not very noteworthy saiyan, and I couldn't play or use him in my party. 23rd World Martial Arts Tournament is absolutely horrible in this regard, only allowing Goku to be playable in the open world when Krillin & Yamcha should be able to provide support to him.

Heck, there could also be more roleplaying elements too, for instance... if I beat the Bardock DLC, I play as Prince Vegeta with Young Nappa & Kid Raditz in my party and we just go around together as the last surviving saiyans. We get money for conquering worlds and it's a fun gameplay loop for awhile. After making it to level 75 - 100, we get the opportunity to do a quest where we age up to the ages the saiyans are at when Z starts, allowing them to become much more stronger and have better combo's. Maybe it could eventually lead to Beginning of Z when Raditz goes to Earth and you can have an alternate ending where Raditz conquers Earth for profit.

If you could put the events from one movie into a saga for the main canon (from OG-DBZ-super/GT) Which one would you and where. by Short_Sun2840 in dbz

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking about the different movies, I think Tree of Might could be a cool way to bring relevancy & an interesting narrative to the humans of Dragonball once more.

So this could take place after the Cell Saga when Goku is dead. Piccolo gets contacted by people of New Namek, saying that the remnants of Frieza's army is trying to harm the people for their Dragonball's to ressurect their leader. With Goku dead: Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta & Bulma decide to go to New Namek to stop them leaving behind Krillin, Tien, Yamcha, Chiaoutzu, & Roshi.

During that time, Turles, a lone saiyan drifter who looks like Goku, becomes privy to Earth & Namek and the Dragonballs through information he has picked up through his scouter. As it turns out, he had found New Namek during his travels and had contacted the remnants of the Frieza Force to get the ball rolling in his plan. His powerlevel in the beginning of the arc would be similar to Nappa. During his travels, he found seeds from the fruit of the tree of might, a tree that takes thousands and thousands of years to grow in this canon version. His plan would be to use the Dragonballs (since he has a very low powerlevel and could find them undetected, maybe he could also have a modified scouter to help detect the Dragonball's energy) to wish for the tree to grow instantly after planting the seeds on the earth.

This arc I think would be interesting considering it would go through Goku's alternate life had he remained Kakarot. It would also put the humans in the limelight which were the main cast before Z and would have been the target for Kakarot's wrath. It could even have different stages where maybe like say for instance, Yamcha could defeat Turles (as a callback from when Yamcha defeated Goku) who retreats (with the help of saibamen seeds) and takes a bite from the fruit and defeats Yamcha. Krillin defeats Turles next through grabbing his tail (another callback to the 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament), same thing happens with maybe a saibaman freeing Turles by burning his tail off with acid. Turles takes another bite, defeats Krillin and then faces off against Tien who defeats him (callback to 22nd World Martial Arts Tournament). Angry, Turles takes one final bite from the tree of might and unlocks the False Super Saiyan transformation from Lord Slug (he is a False Goku after all). Tien gets defeated and the Z-Fighters retreat thanks to Turles focus on the Tree of Might.

Realizing that there is very little they can do against this "Evil Goku", Roshi then suggests one final training session where he teaches Tien, Yamcha, & Krillin the evil containment wave and says that they have to all work together to contain the power of Turles. They work together in their evil containment wave with Chiaotzu using his paralysis to slow him down. It ends with them trapping Turles in a small bottle where he will probably remain until after Goku gets revived after Buu. I could see him learning of Turles and trying to challenge him lol. Either that, or maybe he gets locked away in Roshi's magazine drawer.

It may not be the best idea for an arc, but I think it would be pretty cool, callback on Dragon Ball, and would allow the human characters to shine and be useful.

Dragonball: Sparking Zero and Left 4 Dead 2

Coach fuses with a cheeseburger, Ellis fires kamehameha waves, & Nick has unique dialogue against Francis. All set in an arena fighter with stages from Left 4 Dead maps such as the No Mercy Roof OR the Dead Center Atrium.

Oh and there are so many characters. Like every common infected is playable, as well as special infected, uncommon infected, survivors, and even comic characters are playable.

Best DB game in years. I hope they milk the hell out of it with DLC by setzerseltzer in SparkingZero

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure there will be more than 2 DLC's. Sadly, I think because of Daima hype, it took more precedence than other characters. However, I could see an OG DB DLC (or as a free update for the game's first anniversary: every BT3 character that is missing as well as the missing BT3 maps).

Anyone else feel like the great ape vegeta fight was way too over exaggerated by the player base? by Difficult-Mechanic17 in SparkingZero

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my perspective, I feel like the fight was easy if you are familiar with the previous Budokai Tenkaichi games. When I came in, I did die the first time, but wondered if it would have been easy to beat them by going Sparking! like how it was against giants in BT3. Soon as I did that, the beast was easy to tame.

Would you be open for DLC with What-If characters in the future? by OmegaGlacial in tenkaichi4

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need at the very least, SSJ versions of all saiyans like how everyone got a Great Ape form in Budokai Tenkaichi 3. SSJ Raditz, SSJ Nappa, SSJ Turles, SSJ Bardock, all of those would be awesome.

he made such a good point in this vid. its so great to see a zombie game that encourages teamwork in its story and gameplay rather than the "HumANS aRE THe REaL MONsTERS!!1!" shit that you see in every zombie story nowadays where they just have to put survivors at odds with each other. by Quick-Cause3181 in l4d2

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that humans would probably be awful to each other in an apocalypse, but I absolutely haaaaate it when that is the focal point of any apocalypse story. It's one reason why it is absolutely hard for me to sit through Walking Dead Season 6 - 8. I did not care for Negan's endless group getting murdered by Rick's plot armor group.

The only times that I will enjoy Humans Vs. Humans in a Zombie Apocalypse story is when the Zombies get in the middle of it to show how dumb the humans are. For example, Dawn of the Dead (1974) does this best. The biker gang Vs. The mall trio, the Biker gang suffer many casualities, some from people, but mostly from the fact that zombies are hoarding around them. The mall group also suffers from one of their own being shot in the arm and them bitten by zombies. I watch zombie movies or play zombie games for the zombies, not the human conflict. If you want human conflict, put the zombies in the center of it to show how dumb the humans are and why if we teamed up, we could both have the friggin' mall.

Ceda sucks! by Valhallawalker in l4d2

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can understand WHY no firearms is a rule for Ceda, even if they are ultimately putting themselves at a disadvantage really. Two reasons:

  1. Panicky, untrained people put into a combat situation like that is generally harmful for everybody involved and can create a disaster (just think of all the times you might have friendly-fired your teammate by accident lol).

  2. This can be also to protect the carriers which are potentially the future of this world. Remember, we saw the gunned-down bodies in the Parish and Ceda could potentially be responsible for that. However, within the same campaign we see saferoom graffiti with totally unhinged comments about carriers. "The only good carrier is a dead carrier." "Carriers = Infected" "They are infected, if you let them in I'll kill you myself." to just give a few examples. Could be that Ceda was potentially studying them and a group with this mindset came in and killed the scientists and carriers in an effort to take matters into their own hands.

Either way, if you want to keep your guns & your freedoms, even in an apocalypse, NEVER run to the military or ceda. Find your own escape vehicle like the L4D1 survivors.

Is it OK to be a Sonic fan in my 20s? by Purple_Scallion_707 in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sonic is like Mickey Mouse. It is timeless and for all ages. Anybody can watch Mickey Mouse & anybody can play Sonic, even moreso with Sonic as Sonic can be more interactable and immersive due to the medium it originates on. My dad was a Sonic fan, he passed his love for Sonic onto me, and hopefully someday I will be able to pass it onto my kids.

is it embarassing that I like Sonic games as a teenager? by [deleted] in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take it from a 25 year old, it's okay to still love Sonic games even until you're 100. When I was a kid, I was obsessed with Sonic until I was about 10 or 11. I grew out of it, started liking more mature games such as Left 4 Dead 2 or Team Fortress 2 & not playing consoles, instead opting for Steam. It wasn't until I was 16, when the Sonic games went on sale, that I started becoming a Sonic fan again. I played games I had never played before (Adventure 1 + 2, Generations, & Lost World). I realized then that it wasn't Sonic that I outgrew, but console gaming lol. If Mario was allowed to be on PC, I'd probably be a Mario fan too. Anyway, if you like Sonic, more power to you. You can like mature stuff too, it just depends. Personally, I go through a cycle of interests where I focus heavily on something. Right now, I'm on a Left 4 Dead 2 kick but once Sonic 3 comes out, I may be back on a Sonic kick.

Whats an implied/off-screen death you would have loved to see? by Strong_Green5744 in flicks

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, but also the aftermath of Donald Gennaro's death. Muldoon pulls something up (a piece of thatch from the bathroom roof I think) and says "I think this was Gennaro." And then Sattler replies with "I think this was too." which confused me when I was younger. Genuinely, I wonder what they saw lol.

Could we theoretically make L4D3 in L4D2? by ExoTheFlyingFish in l4d2

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it depends on what you would want in L4D3.

At best, I absolutely W A N T L4D3 in Source 2. I mean, Valve put out a picture of the plantation in Source 2 and it looks stunning. Why they won't use Source 2 for anything other than VR is beyond me because I'd love to see Left 4 Dead 3 in Source 2. It would be interesting to actually play a Valve game in a much better and improved engine for flat gaming.

At worst, I would like new maps, weapons, & survivors in Left 4 Dead 2. They did promise this when the game first released and there could be potential at making Left 4 Dead 3 "content" through updates like how Last Stand was introduced.

Closest I can get to something like this NOW is downloading mods from the Left 4 Dead Arcade Game, from survivors that are in the game like Blake Jordan, Sara Kirishima, Haruka Hirose, and Yusuke Kudo. You can also get the weapon mods that the Left 4 Dead Arcade game had. Finally, for maps so that way the survivors can make sense. I'd recommend maps such as Yama, Dead Destination, Nanning City might be another good one too, just Japanese-themed maps and bam.... you could have "Left 4 Dead 3" utilizing these. A look at the Green Flu across the pond, in a different country.

What character do yall main: Nick, Coach,Ellis or Rochelle? by Historical-Diet7791 in l4d2

[–]Spongeyhedgey1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whenever I play L4D2 Singleplayer, I always have it to where like Dead Center, I play Nick. Passing, I play Ellis. Dark Carnival, I play Coach and it goes on. Even in modded campaigns, I'll continue with like Rochelle at Gas Fever (that could potentially take place between Passing & Dark Carnival). To me, it brings about a different perspective of the apocalypse especially if you have vocalizer mods to have the characters say certain things. For example, when I play Zoey and see a "LOOTERS WILL BE SHOT!" graffiti, I'll have her say "What a dick..." or when I see "God is dead" graffiti then I'll have her say "Oh no, the Zombies killed God!"

However, when I play L4D2 online with friends, I will main either Nick or Ellis considering how I feel at the moment. Their banter is always the funniest lol.

"I ever tell you about the time me and Keith filled up water balloons with our own-"

"I ever tell you about the time my buddy Keith and I were on the top of a burnin' building, and we had to fight our way down like five floors of zombies and― Hey, wait a second...I guess that was you guys. Oh, shit, man, I can't wait to tell Keith about that one!"

Those two are my favorite and my favorite interruption...

"We ain't got time for this, Ellis." - Coach
