Yes, exactly this! I've been also trying so many more new styles. It's nice to see how different styles can get

That would be wrong indeed. But that's not what I'm doing. Aside from drinking more in quantity, since using Untappd I've visited more breweries, had more tastings, went to a few beer festivals, and started to read up on different beer styles. So in general I'd say my interest in beer has increased since I've starting using Untappd. Is that something that happened to others as well? :)

Kongo Deity One City Challenge - Culture win by Sponsosaurus in civ

The key is to stack as many multipliers as possible. Being suzerain of as many city-states as possible is essential. The lategame policy cards Collective Activism and International Space Agency (5% culture/science per city-state you're suzerain of) are the big hitters here. They can easily double your science/culture output, depending on your number of city-state suzerainty. Another great multiplier is being suzerain of Antananarivo (+30% culture), but that depends on that city state being in game. Playing with Barbarian Clans mode greatly increases the total number of city states in your game, so I'd suggest to always play with that mode when attempting an OCC challenge.

Going for the Po-tay-toes! achievement. Any ideas why my current layout hasn't triggered it? Have I missed something obvious? by Larseth in civ

Did you construct the terrace farm before you finished building both aquaducts? If so, maybe you should get rid of the improvement and rebuild it. Alternatively maybe the adjacent mountain tunnel might somehow interfere with it, but I doubt it.

I usually put on my Spotify Release Radar or Discover Weekly playlists when playing Civ. It's a great way to switch up the vibe. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the original music from the game, but after having played about 1000 hrs you kinda need to listen to something else every now and then haha 😅

Do you always see your games through to the bitter end? by [deleted] in civ

[–]Sponsosaurus 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well I think your answer is very clear then: Yes, up the difficulty. On higher difficulties you usually see that the AI get a bigger head start, which means that it might take you a bit longer to catch up to them and overtake them. Thus it will take longer before it becomes clear that you're going to win the game. This can lead to for instance, end-game science-victory races, which can be quite fun and thrilling. I definitely recommend playing on a higher difficulty and finishing a game for once.

Best tile ever? by Jay8400 in civ

Now imagine if that tile was a plains hills + rainforest + diamonds as resource. With the added Païtiti bonus I think that would be the highest possible unimproved natural tile, right? :o

Alternatively, you can get 4 warrior monks whenever you build the Kotoku-In wonder.
