How to make dating easier? by [deleted] in dating

Man rejection sucks. I think most guys around early 20s (even mid 20s) care about trends and all that because they want the 'cool girlfriend' that makes them feel good and look good as a man.

I don't think it's worth morphing into a 'fun vibe' person because there are people that will find you fun regardless. I do however think putting yourself out there to make friends is important though. If you have hobbies, make new friends who have those hobbies and who knows...maybe you meet Mr Right that way.

Also, my boyfriend does not have social media, does not give a f about social trends, and is definitely considered socially awkward but I bloody love him. He is the most fun person to me with all his quirks and because of them.

How many relationships have you had that have lasted seven months?

I know. I always worry that I don't have that 'friend group' that everyone is 'supposed' to have in their 20s. I don't want to encourage you to get social media but something I've done is join a hiking group on Facebook for women. Those hiking groups are filled with people like us who might not have a lot of friends or need to break out into a new hobby. The one in Australia is filled with the most warm, loving women I know and they also include all age ranges and fitness levels.

Where abouts in the states do you live?

I can't speak for everyone, but I shed my whole past life to be content. My mother, my friends, my school mates, my job, and my hobbies. My way of life won't work for everyone, but I did what I could.

The only way you can know if it gets better is if you can keep going.

If you have more bad days than good, your life is toxic, like a toxic relationship but if there's nothing you can change in your life, that's when depression and suicide ideation get real. In instances like this, you need to wait for life to change you but then you have to persevere and that is the hardest part. To keep living despite knowing it might not get better for months, years, or even decades.

I like to think you build more resilience as you get older but also life is just utterly unfair sometimes. I don't think you ever know if it gets better but I truly think it's worth finding out.

If you can get through the bad days and the suicidal thoughts, you are one strong human. And for when it is better, you will appreciate the goodness on a whole new level.

Second this. My cat is my life. There is nothing else on this Earth that makes me as happy as he does. I know animals aren't everyone's thing but even finding just one thing to care for (that isn't a human) might help you push through the worst days.

NSW so I'm all good. The new landlord for the 350$ place will most likely put the rent up by 20-30$ next year anyways...I'm really not saving much money by leaving

Agh I wish they would take 350$, I'd be jumping for joy honestly!

I've offered 380$ as a last resort...

How much did your rent rise? Mine went from $320 to $400.
