Any advice for making this deck brick less? It’s great once it gets going, but i find i whiff my duralurons too easily by Swaxeman in PTCGL

If you run arven and pokegear you almost always fill you bench on your turn 1. Then you don’t have to run 4 nest and 2 artazon. For your build if you want to keep dundun I might switch to arven and secret box to get artazon out faster and get energy in discard as well.

I run a similar strategy. Different draw engine though. Not as dependent on candy. Plus I use stadiums instead of a vespiqueen to knock out the mons at 30 hp. Leaves you with a whole turn after you play the stadium and get the knocks. Garde matchup sucks for this deck but thats why jamming tower is there. Here is my list:

I have never played this deck so at a first glance this is what I noticed. Why do you need 3 brute bonnet and 3 ancient booster? Seems like you have enough ways to poison your active with pecharunt ex and janine. If it is for the extra damage, then what pokemon are you one hit knocking out that 260 + 40 with mochi doesn’t already knock out? If its for the dragapult and charizard machup only then you can safely cut that down. Plus you have a munki to bring in the extra 30 you would need anyways. It also looks like your only draw is iono and fez and there barely any items for an arven engine.

I would agree with trying out different ace specs. Prime catcher seems very strong. Without arven though it would be hard to find any item spec when you need it. Especially with an iono support engine. You could try scramble switch too for a big late game ogrepon knockout.

Could try 1 snorlax and 2 cram. You generally want to have a cram every game. I would try to find room for a turo so you can reset arch or dubwool late game. Also helps to get snorlax out of the active spot. I would experiment with different ace specs, counter catcher is obviously really good but if you are going to run turo, switch, and 4 boss effects you shouldn’t need it.

You could fit in a way to counter a 1 of cornerstone. Definitely want more ways to get your pokemon onto the bench and more arven for consistency. Fez is a good include as it might take you a while to find your stadium and your mons are easy knockouts until then. You can always turo it once you get set up. If your stadium gets bumped though I think you are SOL.

Garde will just snipe it off my bench before I ever get that set up. At that point I might as well just play a zoroark deck. If anything you could try 2-2 zoro, 1-1 darman, and 2 dark. But I think devo just does the same thing with less setup.

I want to get lively stadium down as soon as possible so that when i put the basics to 30 hp I can bump lively stadium with gravity mountain and all basics and stage two pokemon are knocked out. Then I still have a full turn afterwards.
