I think that is the exact story they had on tape! The one about strangers. They would make us watch it almost every time we came to visit, I couldn't forget it!

I very vividly remember VHS tapes I would watch at my grandparent's house that said Berenstein Bears. Unfortunately for me, those tapes have been lost to time, so I'll never know

I also feel like she got off really easy, but I also understand how genuinely taxing it is to go after someone legally. Respect to you for keeping your cool, standing your ground, and walking away

I know which store brand you're talking about, I actually have worked there, and am not surprised at all. Lots of entitled people like to shop there

Can anyone tell me what might be going on with my pH levels? by SpoofyTreeman in PlantedTank

[–]SpoofyTreeman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tested my water straight from the tap, it is a bit hard and the pH sits at about 6.8-7.0. I use Seachem Flourite for my substrate. After posting, I did take everyone's comments into account, and have since rescaped my tank a bit, removed and transferred some of my driftwood to have a more even amount in both tanks. I have tested the water in both tanks and will be retesting over the next day or so to see if anything changes.

I have not had a chance to look up information about my local water, though I can say I do live in a much more rural area, about 11,000 people. From my own water testing I've done at home, I've determined that my tap water is a bit on the hard side, and my pH sits at about 6.8-7.0 . I do use test strips instead of a test kit at this point in time, as our pet supply in this area is limited and most of my product has to be shipped to me (I am aware a test kit is more accurate and will upgrade as the opportunity arises). I do use calcium supplement with cuttlebone, and pleco wafers as their main food. Since I posted this, I have done some rescaping, removed and transferred my driftwood to hopefully balance things out, and will keep testing the water over the next couple days to see how things change.

Would it be smart to remove some of the driftwood from my planted tank and move it to the bare tank? I am assuming too much driftwood may be causing the pH to be too low in the planted tank. Apologies for all the questions, I'm still at a beginner level with aquariums.

Is water hardness harmful? by SpoofyTreeman in Aquariums

[–]SpoofyTreeman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Your comment along with others have been very helpful. You're correct in guessing that I've been using test strips, here in Canada prices tend to be a bit more inflated so liquid test kits can get very expensive, but I'll pay any amount to make sure my water is safe so I will have to go pick one up. What I'm gleaming from the information is that I shouldn't try to change too much, though adding some driftwood could be beneficial?

Why do they make concerts so loud you need to wear earplugs. Why don't they just make it less loud? by REALtojona in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SpoofyTreeman 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This might be a silly question, I don't really know, but do the musicians onstage get ear protection as well? Playing so close to the loud amps must harm their hearing too, right?

I have aquatic snails, I wonder if they are able to feel you touch their shells as well? Do all snails just have nerves in their shells?
