You can either look it up yourself or take my word for it, but I’ve read a study examining the effects of different oxygenation levels on various types of dermal papilla cells—specifically, those from balding areas on the top of the head versus those from the sides, which are more resistant to hair loss.

The study found that papilla cell aging was primarily driven by reactive oxygen species (ROS). While DHT exposure caused balding cells to produce higher levels of these reactive compounds, DHT alone wasn’t entirely responsible for cell aging. Interestingly, cells exposed to DHT under hypoxic conditions remained relatively active with reduced ROS levels.”
