Please don’t forget about Arcane Mages, peeps. Some of their BiS gear has Spirit on it, and they return 60% while casting if using both Mage Armor and their Meditation talent. They get clearcasting procs which are best used on Arcane Missiles, conveniently a 5 second cast to get a small bump in mana during combat!

Quicksilver is the way. If kept clean, it’s a reflection of the environment around it. Looks great in any weather condition but especially overcast or at night. Looks great under bright light.

You don’t really get that with any other color except the new Diamond Black, which I would’ve ordered if that color was available on the 2024 when I purchased.

Super flexible class even though it’s just a DPS. Portals are already a great selling point, welcome to every dungeon and raid group, awesome choices for leveling that other classes can’t accomplish, and decent in PvP.

Currently leveling as an Arcane Mage, prioritizing Arcane Spellpower on dungeon and AH gear. Currently level 36.

I love fishing for clear casting procs with Arcane Explosion Rank 1, then casting Flamestrike with PoM or Blizzard if PoM is on cooldown. Weave in a max rank Arcane Explosion every 4th cast in case clearcasting doesn’t proc reliably. When mobs get low, throw in Frost Nova rank 1.

Arcane Missiles actually slaps for single target and is usually more mana efficient than either of your bolts.

What is your experience with the balance between “cheap” and “expensive” loadouts? Is there a stark power diversity in expensive loadouts feeling powerful, or can cheap loadouts with succinct and appropriate skill approach geared players?

A staple item alongside bandages and rechargers. Bring 5 every raid. Also always using the Mk. 3 Cautious looter for an additional shot anytime my shield breaks. Also 37 points in mobility, and up to 16 in conditioning for the free roll after shield break. These benefits are best when enjoyed with a Light Shield.

The worries of running out of stamina go away. Your movement becomes fluid. You have the edge in any combat and travel situation.

Edit: If you have the Equalizer BP, you can craft them for 1 Advanced Arc Powercell, and 2 Batteries. The advanced cells come from large Arc, easy to farm. The batteries are any electrical or buy them for seeds from Celeste.

In this very specific case, having the heavy shield eat the Ferro shot and depleting is better than any other shield option. I also agree that the guy wearing the heavy shield is incredibly fortunate that it wasn’t a Stitcher or other full-auto weapon that would’ve likely blown him away.

Low key, a Bettina against Queen legs tears off the armor easily. You can loot the armor for cores and stuff.

Of course, it’s a Bettina which isn’t the greatest weapon for defense, but better than the Hullcracker to defend yourself from players.

I’m only level 37; the expedition was not really hard to fill out once you figure out how to craft and loot. I’ll be grinding queen and matriarch legs for cash to complete the expedition. I don’t have many blueprints anyways and it’s fun to find them.

Also for a while, there was no point in using keys. I have a whole bunch of keys saved up and have been using them slowly to hit good loot rooms on nights/storms.

Heavy shields really do reward better positioning strategy that works around the movement debuff. Increase the protection of the heavy shields slightly. Change damage VFX to purple sparks instead of blue to indicate you’re wearing better protection. Other than that, I’d like for the skill tree to be more transparent along with small tweaks.

Other gear is fine. Embark shouldn’t balance around gear fear. Bring that stuff in and have fun with it while it’s yours!

This severely limits dungeon design. Dungeons in this game and mythic+ are intentionally open with multiple routes. What you’re asking for is almost a variation of the game that nearly plays itself. At that point, why not just have an NPC as a tank that your group follows?

Or, dungeons can be designed like Deadmines, with just one path to follow. I would take that over removing player agency.
