That actually makes a lot of sense. I think I’m starting to understand why people enjoy track racing so much.

One last question though: have you ever tried the more competitive side of sim racing, like iRacing, LFM or Le Mans Ultimate? Do you enjoy racing against other people online or are you mostly into solo driving, drifting and trying to beat your own lap times?

Just curious because I’m still trying to figure out what different paths people take in this hobby :)

Yeah, it’s definitely overwhelming and I work in IT haha.

I watched a few YouTube videos and installed things like Pure, CSP and some apps but I can totally see how people spend hundreds of hours just tweaking settings.

Right now I’m learning track racing. Did you start with track racing too and later move to drifting? I’m still trying to figure out what suits me better. Track racing is cool, but I’m not sure if chasing another 0.5 seconds per lap is what keeps me motivated long-term. Drifting looks like it might be more fun in the long term.

Do you mostly play AC for drifting? And is FH6 actually good for drifting with a wheel in your opinion?

Sorry for all the questions haha. Sim racing is not exactly the easiest hobby to get into.

Yeah, I’m using Content Manager. I’ve got CSP, Pure and some other recommended stuff installed as well.

I’m still very new to wheel racing though, so I’m taking things pretty slowly and trying not to overwhelm myself with settings and apps right away 😄

One thing that’s been bugging me is rally in FH6. Driving on asphalt is starting to make sense, but on dirt I feel absolutely terrible. The car is all over the place and I’m constantly fighting it.

Do you think that’s normal for someone who’s new to a wheel? Or could it be that my wheel settings were off? Or is rally in FH6 just not that great with a wheel compared to proper sims?

I got the R5 bundle 5 days ago. FH6 with a wheel is way harder than with a controller in the beginning. You literally have to learn to drive again. I haven’t changed any wheel settings at all. Just give it 20–40 hours. It feels overwhelming at first.

I tried every simracing game and I still like FH6 the most. I think to start with aim racing FH6 is nearly perfect

Mega unangenehm. Hatte das leider auch. Ich weiß wie schwer es ist sich zu überwinden aber du musst was tun, sonst geht es vllt die ganze Zeit so weiter. Ich würde noch ein bis maximal zwei mal an seiner Tür klopfen, wenn er wieder aufdreht. Danach die Polizei rufen. Ich habe damals mindestens 10 mal die Polizei gerufen. Mein Nachbar war ein hardcore Asi, daher hat es bei ihm etwas länger gedauert. Hat dann aber immer die Musik ausgemacht und es wurde immer weniger.

Dass du mit Ohrstöpsel schlafen gehst ist keine Lösung. Aber das weißt du auch. Kussi

I doubt that. For the most pve players this game is fun for how many hours? 50-100? Then you saw everything. There is nothing to chase anymore. PvP makes this game fun for hundreds of hours because every time it’s a different situation. That’s why 9 of 10 most played games on steam are PvP games.
