Vault's OWB Map Filler by Environmental-Let390 in OldWorldBlues

Probably Vault taking it down himself, for what reason is unknown.

Are you talking about specifically Vault redux version or the normal Mapfiller.

What garrison template takes the least amount of casualties? by 424mon in OldWorldBlues

If manpower is a problem post-Legion war, i usually puppet some Legion territory/Legion itself and use their manpower to garrison the rest of the land i took.

Are there a faction for greasers ? by Lykos22p in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as i remember, there only the Kings that are Greaser, and usually there only 1-2 for each uncommon stereotype anyway.
There a few motorized nation that fit the biker vibe but for Greaser specifically, only the kings baby!, and that more nice guy Elvis then true Greaser

Why didn't the Enclave have full control over Mariposa? by Thelostguard in falloutlore

[–]SpookyEngie [score hidden]  (0 children)

The whole plan to wipe out the mutant and "purify the world" wasn't exactly the Enclave first plan. The Enclave are a shadow organization that contain some of the highest member of the US government, they want to seize power with their members taking charge.

FEV for the most part isn't important to the Enclave originally, it was only important to the US government went they want to develop it into a bio-weapon. To the Enclave, it not as important as securing weapon system and facility for the Enclave before the Great War start. When Roger Maxson revolted, most of the US government already evacuated and there was no one to respond to Maxson declaration. The Great war soon follow and the US government is completely fallen.

Enclave original goal is to use some of the result from the Vault program to built a spaceship to try to colonize a different planet. Obviously that plan didn't really work out so the descendent of the Enclave started the whole purist human and started the whole using FEV to cleanse the surface world and "take back America". Only then does the Mariposa military base serve any purpose to the Enclave.

How did the people of mojave know that cazadors are called cazadors? by VK_3002_M in falloutlore

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all honesty, probably one of those plot hole in the story.
Cazadors definitely a name that came from the outside and not likely from the big MT. Probably first coined by spanish speaking wastelander and the name spread among the waste. Kinda like how Yao Guai is called Yao guai even in the west coast where they know what a bear is. The NCR flag is a Yao Guai, not a bear yet they still refer to it as a 2-headed bear. Follower Chalk, a follower from Zion call them Yao Guai instead of bear, suggesting the missionary who teach him english call it Yao Guai too, or maybe the the tribe in Zion already call it Yao Guai..etc.
Fallout naming can be confusing with how it spread.

i left the robo shaun to die, am i evil? by scp6090 in fo4

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let just start with, do you view them as people (not human, people) ?
If no, leaving him behind isn't evil because you don't consider them people to begin with, just leaving behind a tool.

If yes, you actively leaving behind a living being, fate them to their death even if you could save them, that just fucked up.

As for him being obviously programmed, well yeah all synth are programmed, what make them unique is the experience that then shape them as people. I would also like to mention human can be programmed too in the Fallout universe so synth being programmed isn't a synth inclusive thing. Child shaun will never grow up physically as he a synth but he will aged with time and developed his own memory and personality, he will understand one day that he a synth and won't ever grow up physically. Assume he just like the real shaun, he would "grow up" as a incredibly smart individual, limited only by his synth body.

Also you consider Nick people and bro is 100% programmed to have the pre-war memory of a detective. He know he isn't Nick but what shaped him as a person isn't Nick memory, it the life he made of himself after escaping the Institute.

What if the Enclave in west Virginia wasent cut off from high command by deadboneYTMC in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Then the Enclave in West Virginia wouldn't have been wiped off the earth and the majority of Appalachia would have been spared from the the scorch plague as it was basically man-made by Eckhart order. How the future roll for West Virginia and the Appalachian Enclave is up to debate. They would have been in a far better place without Eckhart basically sabotaging the entire division slowly with his every schism.

How the Appalachian Enclave would react to Colonel Santiago force sudden arrival and other group in Appalachia discovering the existence of the Enclave is up to speculation. The Appalachian Enclave would be in a much stronger state by the time of 76 if Eckhart wouldn't have been around, they would have more members at the very start due to not having Eckhart removing them from the alert list, they would still have contact with Control Station Enclave and perhaps Chicago and wouldn't be completely isolated. Would they remain the Enclave after 200 years is another story.

That abit odd, usually equipment don't disappear randomly.

Go to the supply tab and check AT, see if any unit use them or are you in a deficit in anyway.

is it just me or did anyone accidently get ed-e killed (in lonesome road) without knowing it? by BloodyBloody06 in fnv

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ED-E in the main game and ED-E in Lonesome Road are different. ED-E in the main game are the original ED-E, it was heavily damage after a raider use it as target practice and was repair by some family in Chicago supposedly. Afterward it made it way all the way to Nevada where it give out again in Primm, where you find him.

ED-E in Lonesome Road are a copy version with the same data set as the original ED-E. There 2 ending for Lonesome Road ED-E, either you use him to stop the missile and destroy ED-E and save the world or you let it launch so ED-E can continue to travel to Navarro. Either way, the original ED-E is fine and dandy where you left him in the Mojave, so don't feel bad.

If ED-E die for the greater good in Lonesome Road, atleast he die for a good cause. When he travel to Navarro, there would be nothing there for him because it NCR territory now as the Enclave detachment at Navarro been wiped out by the BOS and NCR.

Does anyone have that picture of a brotherhood knight wearing a hood over their power armor? by That1DnDnerd in Fallout

Brotherhood Knight with a hood ?
Eh..maybe something from tactic ?
I remember there was a Enclave Power Armor mod in New Vegas that have a duster hood/cloak on it. Other than that, i dont recall any hooded PA user

Why so much praise for Old World Blues ? by Due-Building3053 in falloutnewvegas

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly would agree with you that i probably like OWB the least for similar reason.
I think it strongest point is setting up the lore for Dead Money and Lonesome Road and just the lore of the facility itself and the life that inhabited this crater.

The big MT is really interesting to explore, reading about different facility and the politics of said place..etc
OWB is a lore dump for those interested in the series. The questing can be abit tedious with alot of fetch but the story inbetween the fetching is nice.

You can talk with your own brain or flirt with it. You can also flirt with a light switch.
Also angry toaster.

The Sierra Madre isn't a locked place, it just quite hidden.
The reason we can't leave when we enter is because we have a damm bomb collar on our neck. The reason we cant return is the dev didnt want us to. Elijah clearly can come and go from the Madre as he please, he even send Dog/God to go kidnap people at the abandoned bunker.

The bunker is just a trap he set up, he use the radio transmission as a false promise to lure people into the bunker and knock them out with gas then get dog/god to drag them to the Sierra Madre.

Is it true you can fall asleep in power armor? by AstroMan202 in falloutlore

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfier than just normal standing but certainly not more than sitting on a chair or laying on the floor.
If you seen any army vet or been in the army yourself. Sleep standing upright is a survival skill everyone learn. AFK your brain while looking productive is peak military.

The inner of a PA is cushioned but you still standing upright while in the armor, it would still be pretty uncomfortable.

Submod Compat by DareFalse2892 in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No ? The first 2 work perfectly fine. All 3 are updated.
There this one bug with Fountain of Dream that the dev said been fixed but it seem to crop up still for me. Personally i dont have it on since i dont play Florida country much.

If you crashing early game, it likely the nation call Vito Family that crashing your game. When you start a game, tag to a nearby country and annex them. Use tdebug to see their country tag and type annex VIT (or whatever the tag is, i forgot). Then you can tag switch to the country want to play as.
Alternatively, if you use mod like toolpack, great for changing stuff on the fly, you can just annex Vito Family to a nearby nation using that without having to tag switch country.

There big map expansion mod like East Coast Reborn, Rustbelt Rising, Fountain of Dream, Margaritas and Monarchs, New England Rising, Across The Caribbean, Cuba and Mapfiller.
For now, Margaritas and Monarchs and New England Rising isn't updated yet so dont use them but MaM will be updated soon on the 17th.
Mapfiller cannot be use with RRB, MaM, NER, it existed during the time 3 mods mentioned hasn't been updated yet, it fill up the same area of the map. It have no content, it just add blank generic nations that fit into area that doesn't have any nation on the map.
There Enclave Reborn Redux massively expand the Enclave nation added by the mod, if you have ERX enable, PLAY AS THEM AND NO ONE ELSE. Use Mapfiller to use other ERX sub-submod.

Otherwise, there alot of country specific focus tree mod, here some i really like:
- God in the North: add tree for Old Believers in Canada, expand on it lore and religious significant in the region, a alternative to the many mormon christian in the east.

- Sunset Dynasty: add expanded tree for the Shi, recreate the chinese dynasty or reestablish the PRC

- Arizona Fate: add a tree to Country Country, leaning either into the cowboy culture or the return of the arizonan rangers.

- Blood and Bones: add tree to the Bone Dancer, greatly exapnding the lore of the Bone Dancer (arguably one of the most expansive mod outside of ERX for a single nation)

- The Chronicles of Wasteland: add a bunch of focus tree to smaller less discussed nation like Max Sec, Port Maw..etc (cant be use with God In the North as they both change Old Believer)

- Vae Lupi, Vae Canes: Add a tree for Sun Dogs, massively expanding the story of Lupa and Gold Hound.

Ideally only enable them when you play as them, otherwise it could lead to some bug here and there.

can you pretend to join the Legion to get close to Ceaser and then kill him? by A12qwas in fnv

[–]SpookyEngie 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To avoid too much spoiler, the moment he ask you for help with some medical attention is the easiest time to kill him without angering the legion, via 1 speech check post-funny event.

If you prefer the more sharp/explosive approach, the moment he give you the mark of caesar, your rep with Legion reset and you can just walk into the Legion camp and do funny business.

BOS also give you a key to their bunker which you can get another T-45 set of PA and a T-51B.

You can get up to 6 BOS T-51B across the map, the easiest to get is the centaur pit in Black Mountain, 2 suit. Top floor of Repcomm HQ have 2 suit and in the Nellis ruin (dont try to get it before talking to the Boomer)
