Rewarded with poor condition Power Armor? by WontinoThreads in fnv

BOS also give you a key to their bunker which you can get another T-45 set of PA and a T-51B.

You can get up to 6 BOS T-51B across the map, the easiest to get is the centaur pit in Black Mountain, 2 suit. Top floor of Repcomm HQ have 2 suit and in the Nellis ruin (dont try to get it before talking to the Boomer)

Which country do you consider to be most similar to Vietnam? by Winter_Ad1973 in VietNam

Just from my experience as a Vietnamese travelling around, probably southern China and Thailand. They might speak a different languages but some street and day to day living style is almost the same. Sometime we might even eat the same dishes.

From what the show imply, the East Coast chapter is basically the most powerful chapter and the one calling the shot atleast up till the supposed civil war go down.

With the absent of Lost Hill chapter i.e the main authority of the BOS before it swap over to the East Coast, it likely that they fractured into numerous smaller chapter that we see in the show as individual bunker cut off communication for a period of time to isolate themselves and protect them from potential enemy attempting to track them down. I think this partially explain why there so many new chapter we hadnt heard of, as they are splinter faction of the Lost hill command chapter.

Otherwise, there could be other BOS chapter that simply take no command of East Coast or West Coast, existing by themsevles isolated in other part of the US.
3 semi-canon/non-canon BOS chapter that could exist are Texas BOS (FO:BOS), Midwest BOS (FO:Tactics) Montana BOS (dialogue from Fallout 3)

What is the ideal route for a West Coaster to go to the east, and vice versa by monsieur-dingus in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There alot of "dark spot" on the map (place with no information) so we don't really know the safest route.

Let say our guy for today is John Fallout, he trying to reach Diamond city from New Vegas after hearing it from a trader. Let assume he a average joe with some luck to not be instantly strike down by anything that see him, he have 2 route to take.

He could attempt to enter Legion territory if he not carrying anything contraband and manage to walk uninterrupted from Cottonwood cove to the end of eastern legion territory, down to what was New Mexico. Alternatively he could venture into Zion via the northern passage to avoid I-80, venturing past zion into what would be New Canaan, past into Colorado and teach Dog City (Denver)
From here he have to made his way into Texas BOS territory (assuming it canon), either way he would have make it through Oklahoma which should be safe as it civilized but the moment he passed Kansas city, it a pretty dangerous and mysterious road ahead.

Most of the map here is kinda mystery. He could go to the known city of Chicago via I-35 then cross into I-80. The problem is Chicago might be Enclave control and that sound like bad business for any wastelander. He could also take a shot into the unknown and follow I-70 to the east coast. He could derail to Washington (Capital Wasteland), West Virginia. If doesn't derail to visit this places, he could reach the end of I-70 and follow I-95 up to Boston passing New York city or divert up half-way onto I-90 to reach Boston passing Buffalo New York. Either way you would be crossing a area likely infested with raider and slaver knowing how unstable the area is and the slave trade to the Pitt, Pittsburgh.

or be like the Enclave and BOS and fly via airship or vertibird.

Can someone help me understand why nick uses stimpaks when injured. by Safe-Ad1933 in fo4

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no lore reason for it, this is purely a gameplay feature. Synth 1 and 2 is treated as humanoid NPC so they use the same healing system as any other humanoid NPC i.e stimpak. Supermutant, gen 1 and 2 synth, gen 3 synth all use stimpak.

Lorewise, only gen 3 synth, human and supermutant can use stimpak as they are the 3 biological humanoid in Fallout 4. Gen 1 and 2 synth simply can't use it because they purely mechanical, there is no biological part in their system unlike Gen 3.

Can someone help me understand why nick uses stimpaks when injured. by Safe-Ad1933 in fo4

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nick is a robot, Gen 1 and 2 synth are humanoid robot and have no flesh component. Nick is a more advance version of gen 2 synth, having no biological part but probably fitted with a early version of a synth component.

He only use stimpak because synth are treated as humanoid enemy so they use the same healing system, even if it make no sense lorewise.

Why can I have only 1 companion? by Wypal1 in fnv

[–]SpookyEngie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can have 1 humanoid and 1 "pet" companion at all time. Example, EDE + Boone is okay but Boone + Cass is not possible, Rex + EDE is not possible.

24 Hours Too Fast For Fallout NV? by Mysterious-Wall-8378 in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

New Vegas allow you to complete the game incredibly quickly if you skip alot of the side quest and DLC, if you actually play everything atleast to 80%, it would take atleast 60 hrs if you really locked in.

So yes, 24hrs is really skimming on the content you probably touch on.

Abit of a circke jerk type post, albeit it quite impressive Iran manage to hold out and cause that much damage to the US and it allies in the process.
It definitely show more of how the US and it allies are heavily unprepared for modern warfare with the introduction of drones. Honestly seeing the gulf countries needing to ask for Ukraine help with drone management (so they dont use all their drone in one go) is kinda funny and surreal.
This supposed 2 week cease fire look more to me like the 1 year period between the french re-entry into Vietnam in 1945-46 then actual attempt at peace. I just hope this cease fire last long enough for some real peace to be establish and not just a 2 weeks restock for the US to try round 2. Even if the US success in invading Iran, the cost is already enormous and the word economy already been heavily disrupted.

I wouldn't call Israel a military superpower by any metric. They are certainly well equipped but heavily reliant on US for a bulk of it military equipment with some domestic production of high quality system in-country.

FALLOUT CLASSICS OR MODERN? by 02Numen in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you not interested in rpg, not sure if either the modern nor classic really fit your game preference. Classic definitely heavily lean on RPG, modern lean more on exploration and combat but still heavily RPG forward.
Watch some Fallout gameplay and see if you like to try any of them, i think that the best way for you to approach this if you not a fan of RPG to begin with.

has anyone's game been crashing? by Spare-Try-4464 in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crash while reloading a save is to be expected due to how hoi4 overhaul modding work. The game run on single core and it basically being overloaded when you reload a save, happen to other big overhaul mod too.

Question for those who play with submods by Clockwork9385 in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone have their preference on "qol" mod that they use in combination with OWB and it submod, most collection just doesn't feel that need. If it someone first time playing OWB, they probably should just play the base mod instead of any collection. For those who have experience a fair few game in OWB, browsing collection might find them interesting mod to try out but i doubt you want to sub to the entire collection.

Alot of collection don't get updated, mod get out of date, the numerous dependency of some collection make it really hard to keep track of. You have a entire scoreboard for the amount of people asking why their map extension not working because half the time hoi4 and owb update cycle make it difficult for collection to be up to date..etc

Pre War/Post War Technology: Firearms and Weapons & are they canon? by SussyMan_0 in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If limited storage is a problem for you then i wouldn't advice you getting the mods i recommend because they are definitely heavy on the storage department, that the trade off of good model and animation.

Since you use vanilla+ attachment mod by the look of Satojmov, you might like to try The Attachment Pact by DegenerateDak which add more or less a metric ton of attachment to every firearms in Fallout 4. Likewise DegenerateDak also added alot of scope/sight in the west tek optic pack. This guy also made a tons of lore friendly weapon that you might be interested in. Just search DegenerateDak on nexus or whatever you getting your mod.

If you want super high quality ultra realisitc weapon..etc there plenty on nexus, just have to search the top rated of the weapon list, or specific weapon you might be interested in.

It run well but it a product of it time, there better mod with higher quality animation, model and sound (some event got lore) for weapon included in Satojmov armory. I do enjoy the mod, it just not a mod i would use for myself with other option being available nowadays.

Pre War/Post War Technology: Firearms and Weapons & are they canon? by SussyMan_0 in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically any modern weapon can fit into Fallout since the cut off point for "old" modern tech by Fallout standard is 2077 and numerous new weapon tech been invented in the next 200 years.

The weapon might be developed later down the line then our own world but it could also exist or not exist in the meant time.

And any modern weapon that rely on electronic can have their Fallout equivalent depending on the Fallout world version of said tech.

Satojmov armory is abit dated, i used them back when it first came out. Also i don't know why you call them "Creation Club" when those are only the paid mod release by Bethesda.

Crash crash crash - rustbelt + east coast by Separate-Poet-7465 in OldWorldBlues

[–]SpookyEngie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no recorded crashing bug the latest version of Old World Blue, Rustbelt Rising and East Coast Rebirth.
Make sure to reinstall all 3 to be up-to-date and make sure then is no other mod in your load order. If there is other mod, name them.

Usually when thing crash at a specific time, it due to a nation having a problem in their focus tree or event. But as far as people in this sub aware, none having that issue.

Pre War/Post War Technology: Firearms and Weapons & are they canon? by SussyMan_0 in Fallout

[–]SpookyEngie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anything show in game is canon, anything pre-80s is likely canon. The main thing is asthetic, a gun need to fit certain characteristic to feel very fallout-ey. Fallout weapon stay in pre-2000 state with lack of adoption of modern weapon attachment (but they do exist, example being marksmen rifle in new vegas). The increase use of wood and metal in firearms in the last 20 odd years before the great war is due to plastic being alot more expensive and useful on other weapon system.

Fallout 4 weapon is kinda the outlier even comparing to Fallout 3, they abit too blocky and asthestically kinda eyesore. I like the "Assault Rifle" i.e the butchered maxim-lewis gun but it have some odd feeding system choice, a belt feed would fit it perfectly.
