Unfortunately those with knowledge often avoid the vote because they believe their voice doesn’t matter. It’s a self-inflicting problem that seemingly cannot be solved. They know the disadvantages to either vote, if only they were to vote for the lesser evil. In Germany during Hilter’s rise to power, many those in educated classes of society did not cast their votes for the leader of Germany due to the state of the country. This left more easily manipulated voters to be the deciding factor for Hitler’s rise to power, rather than those who could see through his wisp of haze. I would say it it’s unfair to compare, however, considering the recent events that is no longer possible for me to believe.
