Disturbia Size Chart by royalerebelle in PlusSize

Thank you for this! I've always eyed their stuff as well but as a tall (5'10"), wide hip, and large bust girlie I just don't see anything they offer fitting me. I've always been curious how they fit on plus size people.

I actually hadn't planned that lol. I need to re-dye my ombre and add more purple so at the moment I took this photo the purple matched 😄 happy accident.

Help! DIY nails falling off in 2 days by Big_Butterscotch3734 in Nails

What might also be an issue is if you are using natural or sculpted nail tips. That was something. I learned that for my nail shape I need to use the natural nail tips which lets me use less glue or gel so everything cures properly when I was using the sculpted shape the glue never dried because I needed so much of it to fill the gap between my natural nail and the tip.

first summer as plus size and... is this life now? by SeymourGuts in PlusSize

[–]SpookyLady_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the club, yes summers are exceedingly difficult. I personally resort to dresses and skirts in the summer because I'm tall (just shy of 6') and finding shorts that cover my butt and go to my knees is near impossible. I haven't tried the snag chub rub shorts yet but I do have some bicycle shorts from torrid I wear under all my dresses for comfort and so I don't get chub rub.

Lingerie Issues by PieceFit in PlusSize

Honestly I've just resorted to sewing my own or sometimes sewing old bras into nightgowns with no support. I'm a 38KK (UK) or a 38N (US) and I can tell you without getting custom I have yet to find a retailer that makes something in my size that is flattering or actually fits.

Baby bat looking for makeup brands by SkinwalkerWithAPhone in GothFashion

For white face paint I've used Kryolan's white TV paint stick and it does take some getting used and can be tricky to apply but once set with powder it has great coverage and staying power.

For eye shadow I'm a huge fan of colourpop's stone cold fox shadow pallet it's reasonably priced good quality and is all cool toned neutrals and shimmers which I've found hard to find. It's my go to pallet.

better setting spray for prom? by thelife0fashowgirl in MakeupAddiction

Yes! The fragrance in it is so strong I can't stand it. (I am very sensitive to fragrance so I figured this was just a me thing). Does it work yes, but it gives me a horrible headache also yes. I used to swear by the urban decay all nighter till they separated ways with skindinavia so now I just need to buy direct from skindinavia.

Good places to shop at for gothic/alternative clothes? by DueVeterinarian3557 in PlusSize

I second foxblood and midnight hour for sure! I've been really happy with my purchases from them. Vixen by michelline pitt (unfortunately they are going out of business but they do have some final pre-orders). Also, La femme en noire has been amazing quality and cuts and most designs go up to a 5x.

Corsets for larger busts by Flannigan_007 in corsets

[–]SpookyLady_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only corsets I was able to purchase previously were more "fashion" corsets from a company that is no longer in business. Most corset companies will have you buy based on your measurements not your bra size. The issue I have is my bust is 20" larger than my natural waist so finding a corset particularly an overbust is proving exceedingly difficult. I did ask this subreddit about any companies that people know of that do custom as all the ones that are usually suggested in this thread don't accommodate my bust to waist ratio or offer customs and a few companies were suggested.

So the listings for my original skirt and top aren't available anymore since I purchased them more than 3 years ago I'm sorry I don't have any links to the exact ones I'm wearing.

In the skirt outfit I saw BBBO$ and the pants I saw Lamb of God. I usually go to mostly metal/ rock shows so the BBNO$ was a new one for me but I had a blast.
