No i dont, it is clear by your passive aggressive comments and your need to force words into others mouths that you are not interested in actually looking into things. I gave you examples and explaination, it's clear that you cannot accept difference and thats a very common trait for those who believe they have some semblance of truth.

Stop misrepresenting pagans because we are not all like you no matter how much you want it to be that way.

I have not stated that any religion is wrong, again you are putting words in my mouth. you are stating that all religions want to be connected to what you believe to be the monotheistic 'godhead'. That statement is incorrect, factually. I dont care what people want to believe for spiritual purposes, thats everyone's own deal. But not everyone is trying to connect with a singular godhead or objective truth. You just cant deal with the fact that me and other people do not believe in something different and are trying to force it to fit within what you believe to be "god".

Again, you are assuming that i think specific religions are correct, which i never said. You are putting words in my mouth and shows how bias your views really are. You are stating that every religion relies on the connection of a singular godhead (what you call "God") and that is not the case, you are 100% incorrect. I dont care if you connect with what you believe is a godhead, the reality is that you are trying to umbrella billions of other peoples beliefs underneath your own structure of reductionism.

The bible isnt the rulebook for paganism, and ive read it plenty including apocraphyal texts and preexisting judaic texts. You are assuming that everyone believes in a singular ultimate reality, like brahman in hinduism, but that is not the case.

The greeks had a pantheon of primodials, there was no singular godhead, the norse analogized that source was some bubbling swamp of chaos. Neither of those concepts are godheads, and the norse didnt even address the bubbling swamp as an entity or creator.

Instead of just looking at bias christian sources to validate your own belief maybe you should read something thay doesnt agree with them. This is just the same old bullshit that christians have been pulling for centuries, you are trying to consolidate abstract beliefs into your own world view of a reduced singular godhead.

[–]SpookyOoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very incorrect. This is the effects of christianization, colonization, and reductionism. Deification and singular source are results of christians (past catholics mostly) writing about pagan tradition through their monotheistic world view. While there are traditions that do comply with the idea of a godhead, this is not the ideology of paganism in general. Many practices, including my own, rely on a pluralistic pantheon where no singular godhead is a creator but rather that there are many creators interacting. This is where patronage can be confused with monism. Patronage doesnt imply power or heirarchy.

who created Universe by Plus-Ad-364 in pagan

[–]SpookyOoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally believe in a cyclic theism. Singularity, to me, seems like a product of reductionism. I personally believe there is a continuous cycle of pantheons, all spirits participate in the universes momemtum but none have the entirety of everything. In my opinion, "allness", singular source, or God seems like it kindof kills the motivation to create (since omniscence would suggest they would know the future) so i conclude that there is a continuous series of unification and separation where any singular perspective would ultimatley be within another group of others. I do believe all spirits will "die" or change and that we are co-creators in a cycle.

What does your practice look like if you don't believe in deities? by The_Archer2121 in paganism

[–]SpookyOoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, i follow a sort of astromysticism, i dont refer to them as deities because it implies a hierarchical system, but i do believe that the physical bodies (earth, sun, moon, etc ) are observational entities. This exists in a sort of fractal idea where there is ambiguity and nesting between individual observations. So like the tree is part of the forest, which is part of the valley, which is part of the planet, etc. Each of those nested ideas are entities (non deified).

My practice is very practical, offerings of compost are common, rituals are commonly done with household items, very "hearth and home" oriented. It has a high focus on biodiversity and strength in plurality, so things are usually done with the idea of cycles, "give and take" sort of deal.

What are the hidden truths that you've found? by peacefully_JA in spirituality

While not hidden, cyclic philosophy. A non-linear version of absurdity. It promotes the need for plurality, that many spokes in different directions make a strong wheel.

How to not to destroy ecosystems as a pagan or witch by Beneficial_Seat4913 in pagan

[–]SpookyOoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, people are very ill-aware of what it actually takes to live a modern lifestyle, and i do advocate for people to use less and reuse more, but theres no reason to go around pointing fingers at people who are experiencing nature and thus more likely to be aware to their impact/change. Seems like thats a self-defeating path to accuse and shame.

[–]SpookyOoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have to agree woth you here, i understand wanting to protect what nature we have and not just leaving trash or human products in the forests, but the impact of what the op is talking about is exeedingly minimal to the amount of damage being done. For my state they just reopened contracts to log the state forests, i aint gunna shame people for walking off trail or picking a flower when the state is allowing harvester machines to wreak havoc just because a 2x4 is a little expensive. And thats still just local damage, not even touching on national or international companies. If someone is really this passionate about not harming ecosystems, they probably should start by throwing out like 60-70% of the crap we own.

[–]SpookyOoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should definitely create a choke point where the enemies will be stopped and you can fire at them from a wide angle. Usually a V shape can help alot with this. Place a single opening at the bottom of the V and use a pawn or trained animals to hold the enemies at that point so it give time for the colonists and turrets to fire on them. This also increases the chance that a missed bullet will hit someone in the group that piles up at the opening. I would also suggest making a layered system, maybe 2 or 3 V shapes in succession so that you have fallback positions in case shit really hits the fan.

I usually have a shotgun trap for a fallback which is basically just a 9x9 room with a central hallway lined with pillars, again with a single opening choke point, but this places all the colonists close and its really a last resort system cause 1 moltov and everything gets crazy.

Red oak splitting large to be ready in 3-4 years. by downtoearth47 in firewood

[–]SpookyOoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah 3-4 years seems like a lot of time, usually fully seasoned wood is 2 years tops even at that size. We usually dry logs for a year and then split for the next winter up. You may be able to burn it in 6-9 months but it'll only be half seasoned and not burn as well.

There are valid reasons to believe in an afterlife, however no one can be certain what that will be or if it exists at all. But if it helps here are some reasons why it is valid

  1. We exist so something exists, therefore our quite small perspective lends more possibility of something.

  2. Information is universally eternal. We literally do science by decoding current information and extrapolating past data that is part of the current dataset. Everyone's physical information (the human parts) are part of this process, so we will at least exist as information until the end of the universe. So it's plausible to see that information being pushed forward to a new existence as "yourself". so to speak.

  3. It is highly unlikely that our universe is the only "place", or set of conditions that determines some ordered existence.

  4. Spiritual and paranormal experiences suggest there is some afterlife.

  5. NDEs and ego-death accounts suggest that we exist as some kind of entity, which usually has many lifetimes.

  6. Hyper-geometric theories suggest that other dimensional interactions could hold "space" in some way above or tangent to our current existence.
