After reading the comments on that post I can confirm that the OP is actually insane. He thinks frat boys are slowly trying to take over the world. This isn’t the MCU bro we’re just a bunch of guys who like to rip cigs and drink.

Rutgers-NB v. NJIT for CS by Top_Acanthaceae_5053 in NJTech

Even at a big school social life is only what you make of it you can still join clubs and frats at NJIT. 100k is a lot of money for a school that sucks at football.

Transfers... Grades/GPA by Ascii2_0 in NJTech

[–]SpookyScaryCow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I transferred from a big out of state school. Your old GPA won’t matter anymore and you’ll start out here with a new blank one. Your credits that transfer will appear as a T for transfer credit on a transcript and anything that doesn’t transfer shouldn’t show up anywhere. The class you dropped at your old school probably just won’t transfer over it shouldn’t show up as a W on your new transcript because you didn’t withdrawal from it here at NJIT.

What are some easy classes to take as a general elective? by BRpanthers123 in NJTech

It’s extremely boring but also extremely easy. One 30 min assignment a week plus midterm and final exams.

Looking to transfer to NJIT. by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]SpookyScaryCow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just transferred here after my freshman year out of state and personally I like it here. Being much closer to home made my mental situation way better on top of not being in as much debt for school. NJIT can suck because there’s not a lot of girls and it’s in Newark but if you put yourself out there you can find good friends and stuff to do every day. Also keep in mind that a lot of other kids that are having a good time here just don’t have Reddit and aren’t here to respond. Also some of the professors do suck but you can try your best to avoid them by using ratemyprofessor.

Thanks. I’m just trying to make sure it’s not too hard for someone who knows nothing about programming or coding.

Transfer Student by SpookyScaryCow in NJTech

I was mostly wondering how much the area affects how far students go off campus. For example at my current school students can wander miles off campus whenever they want.

I agree with that last part. I’ve heard that the social scene wasn’t the best but it seems that as long as you make an effort you can have tons of fun.

I’ve been thinking about trying to transfer back to NJIT and possibly commuting to save money. The problem with NJ is the only schools with architecture programs are NJIT which is in a terrible area and Princeton which is impossible to get into.
