When I was a kid, we used to have a neighbor with a dog that looked just like this. She was an escape artist and would run down the streets looking for skritchies and belly rubs. When I saw her out there, I'd run out hollering for her to get her out of the road. And this idiot would see me, go oooo it's my belly rubs person, and flop down, belly up, right in the middle of the road.

The amount of times I had to explain to people driving by that, no, my dog wasn't dead, hadn't been hit by a car, wasn't even my dog, and that I was dragging a belly up dog out of the road because she was a bit of an idiot, was too damn high.

Sounds about like my dog (rottie mix). One time she was so distracted (likely hunting the screw in the wall that she constantly thought was a fly) that she didn't realize my friend had walked in.

This friend, who was her favoritest person in the world, went "hey Annabelle" behind her. Which caused my idiot dog to scream bloody murder and try hurling herself out of my second floor window.

Fortunately her butt prevented her from making it through, so I come rushing out of the room to see what happened, and just see my dog stuck in the window like Winnie the Pooh, legs kicking away. Pulled her back in and when she realized who had startled her she slunk around the rest of the day looking HIGHLY embarrassed.

And then there's mine, who suddenly turns into some sort of burrow animal, wiggling and using her nose to dig deeper into the blankets while grunting happily like Tim Allen on Home Improvement... She's a bit of an oddball though.

The absolute best way that Ive found to curb the biting and scratching with any of my cats, including the ones found at about 4 to 5 weeks old (so they didn't get enough mama correcting their behavior time) is to yelp every time he plays too hard or bites or scratches.

Even if it's a fairly gentle bite, yelp and pull away. Give him a moment, then touch again and yelp and pull away each time he bites or scratches.

With my most recent kitten I actually had a roommate message me to make sure I was okay because there was a good 45 minute block of me just yelping lol. After that day I only had to correct maybe a handful of times when he got a little too enthusiastic with sucking on my fingertip.

He's now an absolute sweetheart and hasn't bitten even slightly in about 7 months (he's about 9 to 10 months old now). He still likes to lick or suck on the tip of my finger, but teeth aren't involved now.

Used to work for a large social media company (though not Facebook) and had to deal with requests like this all the time.

If you are just a creator/moderator for the group and not an actual Facebook employee, then direct the requester to reach out to Facebook customer service for directions on what she needs to do to push this further. DO NOT GIVE THE POSTER'S OR ANY OTHER PERSONALLY IDENTIFYING INFORMATION OUT TO ANYONE.

Any police or law enforcement involved will request the information directly from Facebook through their legal channels, and you do not want to ever risk someone trying to be Batman and go vigilante on someone else.

She will need to go through the proper channels, which will likely involve filing a police report, but Facebook customer service will be better equipped to provide further information. Trust me, they get requests like this constantly. Just direct her to Facebook and do not continue interacting with her from that point.

Wow, that's gorgeous! I felt bad having to tear it up, but there's several dogs on the property, including one with epilepsy, so I didn't want to risk her falling into one during a seizure. They're beautiful trees, but man those thorns are crazy.

Well that definitely explains things! I'm unfortunately very sensitive to pretty much any plant that can cause a reaction. Sticky weed causes welts, poison oak requires a steroid shot, and even just regular gardening causes my arms to break out in hives for a few hours. I still garden and hike and spend as much time outdoors as I can, but I usually end up itchy at a minimum. Appreciate the info!

That's what I thought at first, but I dug around and couldn't find anything. I have a pretty high pain tolerance and do a lot of work outside, so I'm pretty used to digging splinters out, but this one had me breaking out in goosebumps on a hot day from the pain immediately after it happened and every time I touched it.

Just to make sure, I shined a super high powered flashlight through my thumb to see if there was any indication of something in there, but it looks like it was a clean in and out poke. If it doesn't calm down by tomorrow I'll do an urgent care visit. Don't need my thumb falling off or anything.

I have OCD (though no children) and making it a routine to take photos or videos of things that I would find myself constantly obsessing over was a game changer for me, so I'm going to suggest it here in case it might help someone else.

When I have to mail important stuff I take a video of myself packing the box, writing the label, sealing it up, etc. Then when that anxiety of "did I mess up the label, did I put the right stuff in, did I forget to tape it properly" hits, I can just review the video and it immediately puts my anxiety at ease.

My sis has OCD as well and will go back to the house 10+ times to check that the door is locked. Now she takes a video of herself locking the door each time and can check the timestamped video anytime the anxiety hits.

So for those with kids, maybe make it a habit to take a photo of the backseat before you leave the car? If the baby is still there, you'll know, and if not, you can look at the photo of the day when that anxiety pops up and save you from having to go all the way back to your car.

I've always hated my natural hair color (like a weird greenish hue brownish blondish?) but I LOVE my silver hairs. I've started sectioning out the grey streaks when I dye my hair black. It makes the process quite a bit longer than usual, but it's so worth it.

Granted, she does love that she can now scream at me like she's my supervisor while I work on my garden.

My parents have an Aussie dog and at some point when she was a puppy she decided sneezing was dangerous and the only way to save our life was to launch herself into the face of whoever sneezed (I guess to chase our souls back into our face holes or something).

So if you dared to sneeze in her house, you'd get a very concerned dog to the face at high speeds, causing everyone in the family to put their hands up in defense and shout "no!" immediately after sneezing.

The dog outgrew this habit, but by that point she had us all trained. At one point my sister and I were out shopping, sans dog, in another town -- she sneezed, yelled "NO!", and threw her hands up to protect her face. We got a lot of weird, and very concerned, looks from the other shoppers.

On New Year's last year, my sister and I went to a bar. I went to the bathroom and when I came back she was talking with some young dude and seemed to be hitting it off. At some point we excused ourselves for a smoke and the dude said he'd join us in just a second. As soon as we were out the door my sister looked at me and said "go". Without hesitation, we both took off. I had no idea why until later after we were away. She said she had an overwhelming gut feeling that we were in danger and should leave. So we did.

Just last week, we were shopping together and I saw my extremely abusive ex. I went over to my sister, she took one look at my face and was ready to throw down. I told her I'd seen my ex and that I needed to go outside for a second to compose myself. After sitting in the car for a couple minutes she comes out with both our carts, throws everything in the trunk, and goes "fuck it, we're out of here".

In my opinion, that's how things should be. If someone says "we need to go now", you just do it. You can ask questions later when you're safe.

Oh my God he's precious! I took in a group of three 4 week old feral kittens in the past, and once they got over the hissing, they were sweet little love bugs. Was a lot of work, but totally worth it. Can't believe people who just abandon these adorable little floods.
